The Winside Wildcats put up some respectable victories last season in their attempts to make some big waves throughout the state. This season they will look to get close to .500, as they attempt to build on progress they have already put into place. Someone for this group, that did a productive job last Winter was 2027 SG - [player_tooltip player_id='865326' first='Hadleigh' last='Schutt']. Schutt averaged just over 12.5 PPG, while also grabbing over 5 RPG on both sides of the ball. Her active hands, athletic first step, and her smarts help her really stand out in some big situations. I'm expecting even more of that this Winter for her Junior season. She just needs to stay hungry.

Production doesn't lie. If you can produce at high rates, it'll standout no matter what level you are playing at. Someone that has been a big time producer throughout the State for the past two season, who should be able to replicate that for another go-around this Winter is PG - [player_tooltip player_id='1116158' first='Pyper' last='Ickes']. Ickes averaged 6 APG as a Sophomore with a 1.42 Assist-to-Turnover ratio. Both of those numbers are impressive. The second number is more important to me because it shows the positive number she brought to the floor. When PG's are 1-1 in Assist-to-Turnover ratio or in the negative, it's not a great sign but that's not the case here. If Ickes continued to work this off-season, I can't wait to see what she will do this season. It could be eye-opening.

It's been extremely impressive with the numbers that Paige Springer of Valentine High School has posted the past two seasons at the varsity level. As a Freshman, Sprenger averaged 4.7 SPG, leading to some promising offensive numbers as well. As a Sophomore, she averaged 5.8 SPG with even better numbers to follow. This number is going to be really hard to beat but I have faith that Sprenger will give it her best shot. She just needs some others to step up around her and who knows where Valentine might take things as we get into Playoff time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217308' first='Aubree' last='Fitzgerald'] might play the SG position but has better than average size at 5'10 for that position and that helps her shoot over smaller opponents, while recording over 2.5 BPG. That's a high number for someone that competes at the guard position. Not only does this demonstrate her solid size but it also shows her natural instincts to jump to the ball and make a play on the defensive side of things. As Fitzgerald is only stepping into her Junior season, there is some promise here, she just needs to continue to work on her weaknesses and she should continue to thrive.

[player_tooltip player_id='817146' first='Gracyn' last='Painter'] of Ainsworth High School recorded 17.5 PPG, 11 RPG, and 3.4 APG last Winter from the PG position. Painter is only 5'6 as a prospect so that she is putting up these types of numbers is even more impressive. The double-digits in rebounds is eye opening and shows the willingness that Painter has to crash the board. All while being an ample scoring threat and someone that can facilitate for others in the blink of an eye. Ainsworth will look to put together a solid 2025-2026 Winter. If Painter competes like this, that sure will be a good start.
