September is on the verge of transitioning to October. A number of the Palmetto State's premier prospects were on hand for another showcase event in the Midlands with hopes of finishing the month strong.

Said showcase event was the Southeast Elite Showcase Fall League Session IV. We at Prep Girls Hoops were at one of their previous events at Ben Lippen – a SCISA 4A school – a couple of weeks ago.

This most recent event was held a bit west of Columbia – 5A Division 1 Lexington to be precise. We unveiled articles spotlighting standout guards from this most recent of events and we now turn our attention to forwards and centers that shined on the Wildcats' home court.

With head coach Terence Jones (formerly at 1A Denmark-Olar) now at the helm at 5A Division 2 Chapin, the Eagles will be an intriguing team to watch this season. There is the potential for several names to emerge as household names for Chapin. Love showcased that she has no problems drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. She stands at 5-foot-8 and primarily operates in the frontcourt as either a three or a four. Love can also find time in a team's lineup as a shooting guard. A midrange jump shot is one element of Love's offensive repertoire.

The 2025-26 season will see the dawn of the Megan Davis era for 5A Division 1 Spring Valley. Davis ought to be excited about the opportunity to coach a talent like Briggs for the next two seasons. When one thinks of a 5-foot-11 name such as Briggs, one thinks she has to be a conventional four or five. Briggs can play as a power forward or a center but she also can operate as a guard. She possesses the ball handling skills of someone playing point and the 3-point shooting confidence and prowess of a two guard. She averaged 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and one steal per contest last season for the Vikings. Expect for those numbers to go up this season.

The 2025-26 version of defending 5A Division 1 champion Blythewood features a large senior class Bengals fans will miss dearly following this season. Davis is one of those 2026s. One of the taller players on the team, Davis can showcase how consistent she can be as an interior playmaker. She will be in search of spacing in the painted area and can be active even when the ball is not in her hands. Davis has no issues switching on who she is defending and can combine her length with her height to make things particularly difficult for an opposing team running an offensive play. She also is able to box out in case of an opponent's missed free throw attempt.

Whenever Summons is summoned upon for playmaking duties, this talented 2030 frontcourt force answers the call. She stands at 5-foot-10 and her height combined with her length is a massive boost for the Falcons on both ends of the floor. One would not expect a conventional four to be as efficient a floor runner as she is, but Summons displays the speed of a point guard when she has the ball in her hands. Summons will get from one end of the floor to the other while taking care of the rock and she plays efficient defense in the paint. She averaged 9.7 rebounds, 9.3 points and two blocks per game last season as a seventh grader at SCISA 4A Ben Lippen.

One more season in the high school ranks awaits this skilled name whose career has included stints at 2A Lake Marion and 4A Richland Northeast. Moorer is a consistent playmaker on either end of the floor. Defensively, it is difficult to score on her as she can come through with a block in the open floor. Moorer understands how to intercept passes and she bolsters a team's rebounding capabilities. She is very versatile with the ability to operate at virtually any spot on the floor. Moorer approaches the game with a high basketball IQ – such as getting in front of a would-be ball carrier during a fastbreak to prevent a transition layup. She stays one step ahead of her competition on either defense or offense.

Home court advantage served her well as Lavington represented her 5A Division 1 host school Lexington as part of TUSC. Height is the one thing that cannot be coached and Lavington brings plenty of it at a noteworthy 6-foot-1. Lavington is more of a conventional big who understands that playing in the paint means dealing with physicality – and that means opportunities at the free throw line on the heels of getting fouled. She also understands when to pass and when to score. Defensively, she can read an opposing team's offensive play well and react to where she can collect steals.

Atyria is the taller and older of the Douglas sister act at 5A Division 2 Chapin. Douglas competed in 28 games last season for the Eagles and is poised to step up her game as she advances into her junior season. She stands at an even six feet which gives Chapin a height advantage when looking to make plays in the paint. That stature will lead to many high-percentage buckets being converted and many a rebounding battle won. Douglas will look for spacing in the interior and will utilize her length as much as she does her height to negative affect the trajectory of an opposing ball carrier's shot.

September is on the verge of transitioning to October. A number of the Palmetto State's premier prospects were on hand for another showcase event in the Midlands with hopes of finishing the month strong.
