Prep Girls Hoops Expo TN: Team One Evaluations

A bunch of the best girls' basketball talent in the state of Tennessee gathered at Lebanon High School to showcase their game at the Prep Girls Hoop Expo in TN. Here are player evaluations from every player on team one at the event.     [player_tooltip player_id='884386' first='Abby' last='Olsen'] at 5'4" brings a lot to the point guard position. And that is proven by her #50 overall rank in TN in the class of 2028.   The number one thing that stands out about her game right away is her speed. Every time she steps on the court, she is one of the quicker players, and she uses her plus speed well, especially on the defensive end. She is tough to get around and has a knack for getting steals. Last year against the University School of Nashville, she had five steals in one game.   On offense, Olsen brings above-average play-making ability and is a good driver in transition. It will be exciting to see what season Olsen can put together in her second year of high school hoops.     [player_tooltip player_id='1318419' first='Amelia' last='Coker'] has a skill that not many high school players have.   That skill is the ability to generate space without taking a dribble. In three-on-three at the TN Expo, Coker utilized her jab step effectively and worked her offense game from it. At the event, she also showed she is an accurate mid-range shooter as well as a three-point shooter.   Her offensive game is adavanced for her class and she has real potential to be a great scorer in high school basketball.     It is only a matter of time before Azariah Lee shoots up the rankings on Prep Girls Hoops. Her game at the guard position was extremely intriguing at the TN Expo.   She had one move in the three-on-three competition where she made a great move from the left wing to the right side of the basket. She got there to score in only a couple of dribbles. In five-on-five, she then showed she can change the tempo of her game. She was throwing together quick dribble combinations and was constantly keeping her defender off balance with her stop-and-go speed.   On defense, she is a well-above-average on-ball defender and is always engaged.      [player_tooltip player_id='619788' first='Payton' last='Rollins'], the #4-ranked player in the class of 2027, and that for a reason.   She was one of the most comfortable guards at the event in initiating offense. With that, she was also one of the better players at dealing with defenders who played up on defense. With her above-average handle was on display, she generated buckets more than comfortably on her left side when driving to the bucket during the five-on-five session.   Also on the offensive end, Rollins showed her capabilities of being able to knock down jumpers from all three levels of the court.      [player_tooltip player_id='821835' first='Kennedy' last='Andrews'] at the event brought two traits to the table that are critical in helping win basketball games.   Those two traits are her ability to handle the ball and her on-ball defense. Andrews was comfortable in handling the ball in both three-on-three and five-on-five and did a good job at staying in front of her assignment on the defensive end.   Andrews, also at the guard/wing position, has above-average rebounding. She is not afraid at all to get into the mix after a ball ricochets off the rim.     [player_tooltip player_id='1232570' first='Maggie' last='King'] displayed a solid interior game at the TN Expo.   King showed off some solid post moves at the event and had good fundamentals in grabbing rebounds. She did a nice job of positioning herself in front of her assignment before a shot went up.   On the defensive end, King was good at guarding opposing posts. She made it hard for them to gain any ground or access to the paint when attacking her. And she also did a good job of contesting their shots if they chose to shoot against her.     [player_tooltip player_id='1319395' first='Christian' last='Anderson'] was making a good impact at the five-on-five session at the TN Expo.   She was setting huge screens for her guards, and was a great roller and cutter on the offensive end. She had several buckets inside the paint and was active on the glass throughout the entirety of the event.   At the center position, she also showed some promise with her jumper.      [player_tooltip player_id='1039164' first='Kyndall' last='Mays'] is ranked as the third-best player in the class of 2028 for good reason. She displayed this and then some at the Expo event in TN.   Mays stood out the most in five-on-five. She was getting rebounds over everyone and was scoring at will in the post. She had a couple of nice spins and scores that drew some cheers from everyone in attendance. Also, on offense, she timed her lane runs well, which is an extremely underrated skill.   On defense, she had some of the best interior defense at the event. She was contesting shots regularly.     [player_tooltip player_id='1050300' first='Jamani' last='Gordon'] showed real promise and potential at the TN Expo.   She was one of the more dominant players inside the paint at the event. She had multiple layup finishes with her dominant left hand.   Gordon also showed off her playmaking at the center position. She led a fast break in five-on-five play and threw a great pass to her guard to give them a good look at a layup. The guard ended up missing the layup, but Gordon never gave up on the play and was there for a put-back. This rebound was one of her many while at the event.
