Class of 2028 Updated COLLEGE Prospect Rankings: Top 25 Movement

The updated <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/illinois/rankings/2028-watch-list/">2028 College Prospect Rankings</a> are here, and this class is still taking shape. With this group being younger, these rankings lean more toward physical attributes and long-term projection than polished skill sets. Size, athleticism, and positional tools carry more weight right now, since there's still plenty of time for players to grow and refine their overall game.   These are COLLEGE prospect rankings, meaning OFFICIAL OFFERS play a major role in player movement. D1 and D2 offers typically place players near the top, while D3, NAIA, and JUCO prospects will be listed further down the list.   High school or AAU accolades and stats don't hold much weight, as competition levels differ between seasons. What matters most is how each player projects at the next level... factors like length, speed, athletic upside, versatility, and positional fit stand out most in this stage of evaluation.   At this point, it's starting to become clear which players are ahead of the curve physically and which ones are still developing into their college potential. The Watch List features a solid mix of D2/D3 to JUCO-level prospects still being closely evaluated as they continue to grow.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Below are a couple of prospects that had some major leaps in the Top 25</h2>    Ellis is on track to be another high-tier prospect out of Whitney Young. Over the past couple of months, high major offers have been rolling in. If you're a college program, you're looking at her athleticism and length first, and then what she's done to sharpen her skillset. You can tell she has the work ethic and the drive to be dominant, and is showing signs of becoming a threat from all positions. The upside is high, and the potential feels limitless.     Toussaint is one of the taller players in this class, and with height comes a lot of eyes from college coaches. The offensive abilities are there, and she can score from the paint to beyond the three-point line. She is not afraid to drive from the perimeter to finish at the rim, or stop and knock down the midrange... but the one thing that stands out the most is her patience on the defensive end, especially in the paint. She knows she can alter every shot, but also seems to know how easy she could get in foul trouble if she swats at everything. Strong upside.     When you talk about pure feel and a natural touch to the game, Kermincia has that. Even with being young, her body control when attacking the rim is above her years, and her IQ of how to switch in and out of scoring first and create for others is present and growing rapidly. This kid will be a part of a strong and talented future for Butler Prep. High potential.     Sadie is making her mark as one of the most fundamentally sound players in this class, as well as at her position. She's a kid who plays the game with a bit of craftiness, but doesn't overdo it. She still has a ton of time to finetune little parts of her game, but as of now, she's a top prospect at her position for sure.     Crafty around the rim, but relies on a simple handle and speed to get there. Bainbridge will be part of a high school team full of talented young players, and what she brings will be utilized immediately. She's a true offensive threat, and her confidence is quiet but definitely there. It wouldn't be surprising to see a long list of individual accolades stack up for her.
