The feel for the game is beyond her years, and when you mix that with high level athleticism, you’re getting a player who can be creative, crafty, and aggressive at all times. Her skill set is built around the ability to score off her own creation, but she can also play off the ball and get hot in that aspect of the game. She could easily transition into more of a playmaker as well, as her vision and IQ don’t go unnoticed. A player with the potential to play at the D1 level.

Being fearless, aggressive, and athletic with good size will help you a lot in this game. She played hard all game and was Butler’s best player against the defending champs. As her shooting becomes more consistent and the game slows down, her upside will surely attract more college offers as she continues to develop. She plays with confidence that lifts the level of her teammates.

Wellington has all the instincts and natural flow to the game that players work hard for. And for its easy. The skill set she has can adapt to all types of systems, simply because she can make plays just as well as she can score. The athleticism and the creativity are big reasons why she separates herself from others in this class as well.

When you talk about pure feel and a natural touch to the game, Kermincia has that. Even with being young, her body control when attacking the rim is above her years, and her IQ of how to switch in and out of scoring first and create for others is present and growing rapidly. This kid will be a part of a strong and talented future for Butler Prep. High potential.

Wellington has had a handful of people vouch for her as a true D1 prospect, and there’s no disagreement here from me. As BCP looks into a new way to run their offense, now that a couple of seniors are gone, it wouldn’t surprise me to see her get more reps on the offensive side of the ball, as well as defending the top players on the opposite team.

Butler has seen a ton of elite talent come through their program, and this year they have introduced another one. Wellington has all the physical attributes to stand out amongst the other players in class, and as her skillset sharpens (won’t take much time at all), she will be high on college coaches radars.
