Thursday, we released our Fall Update for the Class of 2026. There was some slight movement throughout the Top 125, in addition to several new additions to the watch list, as we added 27 prospects to what already existed. Below is a look at the prospects currently listed with the combo guard position as their primary position.

.

BREAKOUT CANDIDATES:
[player_tooltip player_id='567128' first='Ahniyah' last='Bennett'], 2026, 5-6 CG, Connersville H.S.
- Ahniyah has always been an exceptional athlete. She has North/South speed, shiftiness, and she is extremely bouncy vertically. Her grassroots play over the years has been sporadic, because she has also shined on the track. She actually holds Division I offers/interest as a track athlete, so that will be a tough decision for her in the near future. As for hoops, she has always been a contributor for the Lady Spartans, averaging 10.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season. This year, however, she could be primed for a much bigger season statistically.

[player_tooltip player_id='486529' first='Maddy' last='Wethington'], 2026, 5-7 CG, Danville Community H.S.
- Maddy could be the recipient of good timing. Danville graduated some very good 2025s, and while she averaged 11.4 points per game last season, she could step into a bigger leadership role in her final season. Maddy has always been a hard worker, she can handle it a little, run offense, shoot, and create scores, plus she's an effective defender as well. In a year with a lot of transition, including a new coach for the first time in a while, look for her to have a great opportunity to step up even more as a top veteran for the Lady Warriors.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256528' first='Kayla' last='Woods'], 2026, 5-4 CG, South Bend St. Joseph H.S.
- Kayla is another player who has been a Varsity regular for several years, but this year could be different. She averaged 9.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a Junior. However, she is now on one of the most talented teams she's been on during her time at St. Joe, and while that could also mean fewer touches, I look at it as though she'll have better opportunities as others draw defensive attention, plus they'll likely be out in transition quicker and able to find scores earlier each possession. Don't discount the fact she is an excellent defender either.

ON THE RISE:
[player_tooltip player_id='1131916' first='Precious' last='Anuka'], 2026, 5-6 CG, Cathedral H.S.
- As I have noted in previous articles, Precious unfortunately spent a great deal of time as a Freshman & Sophomore injured and unavailable. Last year, though, she got a great taste of Varsity action, and she turned that into a good Spring grassroots season, followed by an even better June & July on the circuit. She is very fast and athletic, strong, competitive, and great defensively. Offensively, she is still developing an understanding of systems and tightening her skillset, but she has some natural instincts and can make certain plays other girls just can't complete.

[player_tooltip player_id='900040' first='Natalie' last='Gagnon'], 2026, 5-7 CG, Charlestown H.S.
- Natalie is just one component of a very good team, but she is not very demonstrative, animated, or flashy with her play. She is just steady and efficient, and some small colleges are starting to take notice. She is a smooth, fluid athlete, she has really nice length, and she can play on the ball as a game-managing point guard, or she can knock down open jumpers when in rhythm. She is also an effective defender with how she utilizes her length. She strikes me as one of those kids who has a steady high school career but who might be even better at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='422604' first='Emma' last='Schoen'], 2026, 5-7 CG, Silver Creek H.S.
- I have seen Emma many times since she was between her 8th Grade and Freshman years, and I still can't get over how much better she played in July than ever before. She just looked so aggressive, so confident, and so much more versatile. She has been an outstanding shooter, but in July she looked more creative and effective as a point guard, plus she attacked the basket more often and used the free throw line as a weapon. Her play helped her earn the opportunity and commit to the University of Vermont, and she should have a huge Senior season this year.

NEW TO THE SCENE:
[player_tooltip player_id='1357832' first='Anna' last='Hedrick'], 2026, 5-6 CG, Lewis Cass H.S.
- I've had Anna's name for the better part of a year, but I felt like now was the time to add her to the watch list, because she is a really nice small college prospect. All Lewis Cass does is win games, and she's a big part of it. I also think the best is yet to come with her. She is long & wiry, she has nice all-around athleticism, and she can shoot it a little, attack the basket, and distribute, plus she's a capable on-ball defender. Last season she averaged 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, but I think she's primed for something bigger.

[player_tooltip player_id='1357833' first='Addison' last='Jones'], 2026, 5-3 CG, Connersville H.S.
- Like [player_tooltip player_id='567128' first='Ahniyah' last='Bennett'] (above), Addison is a big part of Connersville's improvement over the last couple of seasons, and she could help them put together a strong 2025-2026 Winter. Addison isn't very tall, but she has some strength, she has a lateral quickness to her, and she's a very good shooter when set and in rhythm. She is a willing passer, a capable point guard in general, but she is also a weapon coming off of screens. I think she could be a really nice small college prospect because of her versatility, her basketball IQ, and her ability to shoot it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005012' first='Amara' last='Stroman'], 2026, 5-4 CG, Kokomo H.S.
- Amara has been a regular participant at our PGH Indiana events, and she seems to love being in the gym. She is tough-nosed, strong, and physical for a smaller guard. She has a nice quickness to her and does a good job of creating space with the dribble. She is probably more of a shooter/scorer than a traditional point guard, but she does have a solid handle and can fulfill a point guard role if necessary. Last season, she knocked down 34 3-pointers at a 35% rate, so you want to run her off screens. She's also an aggressive defender, averaging 3.5 steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='486520' first='Harley' last='Toppe'], 2026, 5-6 CG, Brownstown Central H.S.
- I first saw Harley a couple of years ago, and I've been a fan of her ability to catch fire and make shots. But this season, she'll need to be much more than that for the Lady Braves. With the graduation of the Klosterman sisters, Harley will be the first choice to slide over and play the point guard role. I was able to see her some in June in that capacity, and I felt like she performed very well. She did a nice job of balancing shooting/scoring with distributing, plus she was very aggressive and feisty defensively. She could have a huge Senior season for Brownstown.
