is quickly proving herself as one of the premier guards in Southern Indiana. She has a strong offensive game built around her ability to score at all three levels. Schoen shoots the ball with confidence and consistency, especially from the perimeter, but also thrives at getting downhill and finishing through contact. That physicality makes her tough to defend and allows her to draw fouls and create scoring opportunities. Beyond her scoring, she has solid vision and passing instincts, leading her team with 3.2 assists per game last season. Averaging 16.7 points per game as the second-leading scorer, she balances playmaking with an aggressive scoring mentality. After a highly productive summer, earning offers from Coastal Carolina, Samford, Bryant, Walsh, UIndy, and more, Schoen has firmly established herself as a next-level prospect with a versatile and competitive skill set.

I’ve been watching Emma since 8th Grade, and what I saw out of her at the end of this month was some of the best basketball I’ve ever seen her play. She was completely locked in, and while she has always been an accurate shooter, she was making nearly everything as well as different types of shots from different areas of the floor. She looks more comfortable with it in her hand finding teammates, and she defended with a lot more urgency and physicality. She might have drawn the most interest since the last “live” period concluded.

I have seen Emma many times over the years, but Saturday was a great day for her. She was completely locked in, at times the most effective player on her team, and she was performing in all facets of the game. She is another talented shooter, and she was burying any shot where she had the slightest bit of rhythm. At the same time, she has greatly improved her ability to absorb contact and finish drives. She was scrappy and aggressive defensively, and she was on the floor making hustle plays. I was extremely impressed with her sense of urgency.

Emma compliments this group well because, while she does have the ability to handle the ball and play some point, she is a very good perimeter shooter with range. Pairing her with Dansby and such skilled forwards in this group, means it could give her many more clean looks at the basket. I thought this Summer she looked a little stronger, and she was better defensively. I think with such good touch, she could stand to attack the basket a little more and use the free throw line as a weapon. She’s too good from 15-feet.

Emma has proven herself to be one of the better shooters in Indiana’s 2026 class. She has three great traits for a shooter: she has a consistent, repetitive shot process, she has a quick release, and she has a short memory. She also has deep range. Emma has shown the ability to play on the ball throughout her career, but she is so good coming off of screens and finding the bottom of the net. I do think being a little more dynamic as a point guard and creating offense for others would help expand her recruiting, especially at her size, but again, she can fill it up, and that’s hard not to like.
