Smith is a "long and athletic" guard, and that's also the base. Seeing her able to score multiple ways was nice. The pull-up jumper, as well as the "catch and shoot" was solid, as was her scoring off the dribble, yet outrebounding taller players and scoring on putbacks was equally impressive

Barre can make things happen in the blink of an eye, as she recently broke her school's 3-point record. However, first and foremost, she falls into the #sizedontmatter group, and again, when you can shoot like she does, it doesn't matter. She creates her shot, but also creates spacing, and seeing her poise under pressure and being able to knock it down while being defended will be huge for this squad

Marshall is showing that she can dominate on either end when needed, yet her versatility in playing multiple positions is a huge plus. She scores around the basket, putbacks included, yes, she rebounds on both ends, but her midrange is definitely a problem for defenders, especially since she can score off the dribble. Court vision is solid, and she defends inside and outside the paint

Newsome is strong and powerful, and standing just shy of "the magic number" she can grab rebounds and go coast to coast to score or dish. Her on-the-ball pressure helps to create turnovers, yet she can also defend inside the paint. She has good timing to block shots, she scores off the dribble, and can drop the jumper

Martin brings so much to the table for her team as she can play both the 1 and the 2 effectively. Her ability to control the tempo and run the offense is one thing, yet she also has good court vision and understands the importance of getting her teammates involved. Don't get it twisted, she can flip the switch and drop jumers or finish acrobatically after contact

Howard is electrifying at times, and her first step is one of the reasons; her slight HEZ to get the defender off balance is another, but seeing her attack the basket and use her body control after contact on her finishes is always nice. She threads the needle in traffic for assists, her jumper, "catch and shoot" included, is solid, and she applies "on the ball" heat to help create turnovers, her quick hands to pick pockets get the same results
