Martin brings so much to the table for her team as she can play both the 1 and the 2 effectively. Her ability to control the tempo and run the offense is one thing, yet she also has good court vision and understands the importance of getting her teammates involved. Don’t get it twisted, she can flip the switch and drop jumers or finish acrobatically after contact

Martin has taken her game to another level, and her “on the court” improvement was one of many pluses for her Summer Creek High School team, which won state this season. Trying to guard her has become a bigger problem as she attacks and finishes powerfully off the dribble yet her “stop and pop” jumper in transition also shot up. Her defense in the set as well as baseline-to-baseline also improved

Martin has not one note written by her name from last night because it’s embedded in my head and let me say this, off the dribble, she’s one of the best guards in her class to get by the defender and finish strongly, off balance and after contact. Her “on the ball” pressure as well as playing the passing lane created turnovers

Martin smoothly shows she can score however she wants against anyone yet seeing her create her shot and elevate on her jumper was a work of art. Her numerous moves, including the slight HEZ, kept the defender off balance so she could attack and finish, or dish yet her court vision across the board was a huge plus as well
