The class of 2021 rankings have officially been updated and are live on the site. The full list of rankings can be found here. A number of college coaches from different levels have been reaching out to me regarding different players, especially with the Spring viewing period likely cancelled. Be on the lookout for in depth coverage for the entire class over the course of the coming week.
Class of 2021 Overall View:
I have been following this class in particular dating back to the time these kids were in about fourth grade. Watching the progression of some of these players in recent years has been really impressive and new players continue to develop and put themselves on the map season by season. The class as a whole has a good amount of low-mid major Division 1 and quality Division 2 prospects. Chiawana High School’s Talia von Oelhoffen Talia von Oelhoffen 5'11" | SG Chiawana | 2021 State #22 Nation WA is the lone clear cut elite, high major prospect in the state. There may be a couple others that play their way to some high major offers, but it would not be surprising to see eight or nine players in the top 10 move on to play at the mid major level.
While this class in Washington does not project to have a ton of future high major players, there is legitimate depth at all of the levels below. There are several players with good size, as well as some quality guard and wing play. Clarkston High School’s Ashlyn Wallace Ashlyn Wallace 5'6" | PG Clarkston | 2021 State WA (Idaho), Central Valley’s MJ Bruno MJ Bruno 5'10" | SF Central Valley | 2021 State WA (Portland) and Bethel’s Esmeralda Morales Esmeralda Morales 5'5" | PG Bethel | 2021 State WA (Portland State) are three of the committed players today with more public announcements coming very soon.
