Expert Analysis
Jared Martinson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Pepp is skilled and heady, and able to overcome adversity like being injured at the wrong time. She’s still been playing at a high level in front of college coaches. I always say, you can’t teach certain things and heart is one of them.

Pepp with the step is closing out her career with a bang yet the UNSIGNED senior point guard continues to show a couple of very important things. She can run a team by controlling the tempo yet she also understands how to take things over when needed. The game was somewhat close when I opened my wraparound coverage to see her wrapping passes to her teammates for basket yet she also scored when needed, played the passing lane as well as “on the ball” defense

Pepp is one of those players that just makes things happen and observing her before high school, her comprehension of the game sold me, well plus she was a “long and athletic” guard that applied heat on both ends. Her playing all club season on a sprained ankle speaks volumes yet she never complains about whatever situation she’s placed in. She can control the tempo and facilitate or flip the switch and take games over because her first step, in the set as well as in transition is a problem, so is her pull-up jumper but when you factor in her court vision and being able to thread the needle, that’s huge, so is her defending and playing the passing lane. Pepp is one of the top UNSIGNED not only guards but players in Texas and her ability to run a team has always stood out. Her unselfishness running the 1 get s her teammates good looks yet look out because her first STEP in her PEPP can leave the defender cemented. Yes, she threaded the needle in transition as well is in the set for assists and she showed nice body control on her finishes but her pull-up jumper, including the fadeaway got me going early, so did her defensive pressure baseline to baseline as well as in the half court
