As we are within hours of the new year, most Indiana girls' basketball teams are at about the halfway point in terms of the number of games they've played. With that said, I wanted to take a moment to look back at the action from November & December, and to point out some standout individuals from around the state. The New Year brings with it fireworks at midnight in most places, so below are a handful of ladies who bring fireworks each game night with their ability to drop bombs from long range. These are just a few of the top shooters this season from around the state. Any statistical information listed below is what has been provided through MaxPreps, so if your coaches don't enter information for you, you might be omitted from this article.

Brooke has long been known for her ability to bury shots from behind the 3-point line, but the surges she has shown at times in games the last couple of years have been impressive. She'll get extremely hot and make 5, 6, or 7 in a row like she's at Dave & Buster's playing pop-a-shot for raffle tickets. She has good balance and is able to get her feet set quickly, helping her get rid of it before the defense can close out completely. She leads the state right now with 65 makes in just 15 games, and she's shooting it at a 38% rate. Additionally, she's averaging 19.5 points and 2.7 steals per game.

The amount of growth this young lady has shown throughout her career has been impressive. Early on, she seemed most comfortable as a mid-post forward. She would score from there, chase down rebounds, and defend more so inside. Then she transitioned briefly to being an athletic slasher who could explode to the rim. Now she is a triple threat, because she can bury shots outside, slash to the rim, or still play a little in the mid-post and attack the glass. Jayden has made 42 of 98 3-point attempts thus far for a 43% rate. She is also averaging career bests with 19.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Kaylie can most easily be described by one word...ballplayer. She isn't necessarily elite at any one thing, but she is very well-rounded, highly skilled, and she plays with a great basketball IQ. Throughout the 2025 grassroots season, she shot it extremely well and added some range to her shot. This season, she has made 38 3-pointers at a 42% clip, putting her among the state's elite in both total makes and shooting percentage. What's more impressive is, she's probably as good or better handling the ball and finding teammates as a point guard. She is handing out a career-best 3.6 assists per game this Winter.

After watching Lillian a little throughout the Spring & Summer, there was some assumption she would make an immediate impact on Varsity. To have helped the Shamrocks to their best start since the 2021-2022 season, that is as tough as it gets. Lillian has put together some big games as a rookie, like when she buried 7 3-pointers and scored 33 points against a very talented Pike squad. On the season, Lillian is averaging 14.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, while burying 37 3-pointers already, and shooting a strong 40% from outside. Look for her to only be better as she finishes growing and adding to her skillset.

Izzy came into high school known as being a dangerous 3-point shooter. Last season, in her first big role on Varsity, she knocked down 41 3-pointers, but she also learned shot selection and had to adjust to the speed & size of the Varsity game. This year, all of that has paid off. She is shooting 41% from beyond the arc, and she has already made 36 3-pointers in just over half as many games as she played in 2024-2025. On top of that, Izzy has down a tremendous job of transitioning from the role of "shooter" to being more of a combo guard who can slide over and manage the offense as a point guard, when necessary.

Luci is yet another one of those prospects who entered high school with questions about how much she could affect Varsity, and she too was known as an accurate shooter with the ability to score it from all three levels. What she has done so far makes a statement. She knocked in 41 3-pointers a season ago, and this year she has already made another 35 with plenty of time left on the calendar. She's also shooting it at 39%, plus Luci is a capable point guard, and she does a nice job of using her tremendous length defensively. I can't wait to her game's growth in a couple of years.
