India Nivar – Nivar definitely had an outstanding season. The combo guard scored 49 points in the Conference championship game this year. Nivar’s impact this year was very impressive the way she scored the ball and led her team to a 4th round appearance in the State playoffs confirm why she is one of the top players in the state and a top player in the class of 2022 in the country.
Saniya Rivers Saniya Rivers 5'11" | SG Ashley | 2021 State #3 Nation NC – Saniya was there at the start of it all, the two time Gatorade player of the year. The highly recruited Rivers was such a site to watch on the court. Her talent and passion for the game is hard to miss. Rivers put on a show this past season, with her athleticness and determination to want to win is why she continues to be one of the top players in her class.
Daija Turner – Turner makes state history by recording the most blocks in a season (230) in North Carolina state history. She also reached a milestone by scoring a 1,000 points and 1,000 blocks for her high school varsity career. Turner capture the player of the year honors for her conference and was selected to the All state player. Turner impactful season was one to watch and well worth her effort. The PF/C was just resently offered to Virginia Tech and UNCW.
Amore’ Kirkland – Kirkland claimed the states leader in assist, and placed 4th in the nation according to Max Preps. The Sophomore point guard average 9.7 assist per game giving her a total of 267 assist for the season. That total placed 5th all time in state history. The unselfish sophomore point guard impressively showcase her skills throughout the season, by leading her team to a 2 round appearance in the state playoffs.
Jakieya Thompson -Thompson was number 18th in the state in steals. The freshman guard average a district high with 5.2 steal per game for a total of 140 steal for the season. Thompson stifling defense and and athleticism put her on the map as one of the toughest defenders within the state. Its scary to just think how the freshman will continue to develop. With her tenacity and determination she will very well become one of the top players within the state in the future to come.
