The recent Tabor College signee's presence in transition was impactful. Bringing size and rebounding to the floor her ability to fill transition lanes and slow transition looks by the Buffaloes were things that do not show up in stats but tonight was nonetheless valuable. She is a quality forward that held interior help defenders at bay to enable her teammate [player_tooltip player_id='719105' first='Jaela' last='Thompson'] have a huge night offensively.

Thompson had a big night. Her 26 points were just more than half of the Mavericks' total. Yes there were plenty of cherry picking points that penalized the Buffaloes for not sending a couple players back on shots but her use of her size, hops, creativity scoring in the paint made her very difficult to stop inside.

The Buffaloes hurt themselves with turnovers and Lowe's play was a notable contributor. She showed headiness and quick hands away from the ball that caused deflections, steals and influenced passing decisions.

In all honesty when Marcy left the game with a sprained ankle with the Buffaloes up double-figures they realistically had the Mavericks by the throat. The Mavericks had severe struggles against the quick, deep and athletic Southeast backcourt. The loss of her scoring and ball handling talents triggered a rash of turnovers that led to the Mavericks surge to pull of a win.

Chalmers can flat score in the open court and knows how to use her body to shield creative shots. Fast with strong handles she is perhaps the Buffaloes' top open court offensive player but is also a quick, heady defender that creates turnovers.

After not playing last season due to her previous school not releasing her to play Gantt flat showed up. Of the Buffaloes backcourt she is arguably their top perimeter threat. Speedy with quick hands and feet she can get up on shots and rebounds with authority. She probably had most amazing score of the night, a transition reversed right hand layup on the left side of the hoop against a challenger. Colleges need to sign this one quickly.
