The 2029 class is filled with skilled prospects whose best basketball is still ahead of them. While flashes of impact and high-level ability are already evident, this group has another gear yet to be fully unlocked. With expanded roles and continued development, these players are making strong cases for where they belong in the next set of rankings and positioning themselves among the best in their class. As a freshman, she is averaging 5.6 PPG as the only freshman on a varsity team led by veteran leadership. Kayla has the opportunity to steadily raise her stock season by season as her workload increases. She also plays smart passing out of the post to find her open shooters.   Currently averaging 3.4 PPG and 4.4 rebounds per game as the only freshman on her varsity roster, these skills provide a strong foundation for her growth. With continued development, playing time, and refinement of her offensive and defensive instincts, she has the tools to steadily rise in stock and become a dependable, high-impact player in her class. Defensively, she uses her reach to alter and block shots, while offensively she finishes creatively around the rim with scoop and one hand finishes. She also showed confidence in her perimeter game, knocking down a smooth, clutch three from the top of the key.   As the third-leading scorer on her team, she recently delivered her best performance of the season with a 20 point outing on January 22 in a tight game, stepping up when it mattered most. Performances like that highlight why she is a prospect to follow closely and why the upcoming stretch gives her a real opportunity to show where she belongs in the next set of rankings. She has consistently provided her team with at least 10 points per game and continues to develop her overall game while making winning plays. As she gains more experience and confidence, she is poised to make a significant jump in her development and position herself well in the rankings. She is shooting 39% from three this season and 42% overall, with a season high 28 point performance that included six made threes.   Williams also uses her speed and relentless work ethic to get out in transition for easy buckets and to force turnovers, turning defense into offense. We expect her stock to continue rising throughout the remainder of the season and into travel ball, as she is firmly on our high-alert watch list.
