St. Mary’s Knocks off Pallotti Again- IAAM Spotlight

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pallotti traveled to Annapolis Friday night for the second meeting with St. Mary's. St. Mary's won the first meeting so Pallotti was looking to even up the season series and gain an edge in the playoff seedings. In a clash of two styles St. Mary's looked to stifle Pallotti with their zone defense, and Pallotti looked to overwhelm the Saints with their man to man. Both teams had periods of success but it ultimately came down to St. Mary's being able to make more shots when it counted. They held off Pallotti for a 55-48 win to sweep the season series. She drew a ton of attention defensively and usually made the right reads out of the double teams. I was really impressed with her ability to attack the basket and really punish defenders and either scoring or drawing fouls.
