The Class A State Tournament officially returned after the winter storm that blanketed the entire state of Kentucky, and it came back with a statement. All 16 Regions sent their best to the Owensboro Sportscenter, all chasing one goal and one trophy. The atmosphere was electric, the intensity was high, and the Final Four delivered championship level basketball from start to finish. If you love high school hoops, this weekend was one for the books. Here's a deeper look at some of the standout performances from the teams that rose to the Final Four stage.

Covington Holy Cross

Your All A State Champions put together a dominant run that left no doubt who the top team in Class A was this season. The Lady Indians controlled every game they played, winning each matchup and never allowing a margin closer than 12 points. From tip-off to final buzzer, Holy Cross set the tone with pressure, pace, and execution on both ends of the floor. Their depth, discipline, and ability to make winning plays showed up in every round.

In the championship game, [player_tooltip player_id='913410' first='Alyssa' last='Arlinghaus'] delivered a massive performance on the biggest stage, pouring in 21 points while also adding 3 assists and 3 steals. She set the tone offensively and made key plays defensively that helped separate Holy Cross and keep momentum firmly on their side. [player_tooltip player_id='743674' first='Riley' last='Eberhard'] was a steady playmaker throughout the title game, finishing with 7 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals, constantly creating opportunities for teammates and controlling the tempo. [player_tooltip player_id='1240129' first='Paige' last='Arlinghaus'] brought toughness and consistency inside, recording 10 points and 7 rebounds while making her presence felt in the paint on both ends of the floor.

The semifinal round featured more big time performances. [player_tooltip player_id='1191157' first='Jai' last='Johnson'] was everywhere, filling up the stat sheet with 16 points, 4 assists, and an eye opening 6 steals. Her defensive pressure created transition chances and completely disrupted the opposing offense. [player_tooltip player_id='915885' first='Avery' last='Sturgeon'] added another scoring spark with 12 points, helping Holy Cross build separation and maintain control throughout the semifinal matchup. Every piece contributed, and it showed in a championship caliber run.

Owensboro Catholic

Owensboro Catholic represented the 3rd Region with pride and toughness, battling their way all the way to the State Championship Game. The Lady Aces faced a loaded field and continued to answer every challenge thrown their way. Their semifinal victory over a talented Bishop Brossart team set the stage for a championship appearance and showed the resilience and depth of this group.

In the championship game, [player_tooltip player_id='958540' first='Katie' last='Hagan'] delivered a huge double-double performance with 13 points and 13 rebounds, controlling the glass and providing a steady scoring presence. Her ability to impact the game in multiple ways kept Owensboro Catholic competitive on both ends of the floor.

The semifinal performances were just as impressive. [player_tooltip player_id='812951' first='Taylor' last='Mannahan'] had a complete all-around night with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists, making plays in every phase of the game and setting the tone with energy and effort.
