Taylor spent her first three years of high school at Curtis High School in University Place, but transferred to Garfield High School for her senior year, where she helped the Lady Bulldogs to a 3A state championship. The 5’7 point guard is a quality player in the open court and she takes pride on the defensive end. Taylor projects to be an impact player from day one at Pierce College who is coming off of a 7-20 season. She was ranked as the 55th best senior college prospect in the state of Washington and played her club ball for Tree of Hope’s 17u EYBL team.
2021 Thiers to the Ivy League
2021 6’2 C Katie Thiers Katie Thiers 6'2" | C Roosevelt | 2021 State WA from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington took to Instagram to announce her commitment to Princeton University of the Ivy League. At 6’2, Thiers has good mobility and an ever expanding skill set that continues to impress as she develops her all around game. Listed as a center, she can really play the four or five position. Princeton is coming off of a historical season with a 26-1 record and number 25 AP national ranking. That, mixed with the fact that Katie is a high academic student, makes this a perfect fit on and off the court. Thiers currently ranks as the number 13 player overall in Washington’s 2021 class and number two at the center position. She has played her club ball with Nike Team Northwest/FAST for the last several years, but was planning to suit up with Tree of Hope for her final season of club ball. *Feature image
