We were at the Great 8 Showcase on Saturday and watched a lot of the older teams that we haven’t seen this year. With an abbreviated AAU season, every game is critical. For a few teams, their AAU season kicked off at the Great 8 Showcase hosted by All Iowa Attack. Below you can find our ten standouts from Friday afternoon/night at the event.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164959" first="Julia" last="Reis"] - 2021 - Dallas Center-Grimes HS - All Iowa Attack Ryan</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"><strong> </strong>
</span>Reis has gotten much quicker and faster this summer and it showed. She had one of the best games on Saturday as she was scoring almost at will on the inside. She can shoot it from the outside and show be a coveted scholarship player for a school.
<strong>Emily La Chapell - 2022 - Appleton East HS - Wisconsin Flight UAA</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"><strong> </strong>
</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">La Chapell was the best player on the day as she was all over the floor on both ends of the court. She was able to drive the ball to the rim and score but was also abele to knock down jumpers. La Chapell is a high major player who was one of the best in the tournament.</span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="63019" first="Audi" last="Crooks"] - 2023 - Bishop Garrigan HS - CY Select Green</strong>
<span style="font-size: 1rem;">Crooks was unstoppable on the inside for CY Select. She has great hands and can corral passes from anywhere in her area. She’s also developing a midrange jumper that looked solid. She was one of the best players in the tournament regardless of class.</span>
<strong>Kamryn Peppler - 2022 - Hortonville HS - Wisconsin Flight UAA</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"><strong> </strong>
</span>Peppler was able to play at her speed really well. She’s a great passer with solid floor vision when she has the ball in her hands. I loved her ability to get into the defense and then make plays either going at the rim or passing the ball off. Milwaukee commit.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="63021" first="Bryar" last="Duwe"] - 2023 - Decorah HS - Iowa Prep Red</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"><strong> </strong>
</span>Duwe played very aggressively and was going to the rim hard on Saturday. She showcased a very nice jumper that she was able to hit from all three levels on the floor. Duwe is an improving lead guard with a ton of skill.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="131133" first="Avery" last="Fried"] - 2021 - Bondurant-Farrar HS - All Iowa Attack Ryan</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"><strong> </strong>
</span>Fried was very solid in the games on Saturday as she was shooting the ball really well. She made a few 3-pointers off thebounce but also some deep catch-and-shoot jumpers. I thought that she was at her best when playing off the ball and looking to get open shots.
<strong>Haleigh Timmer -2021 - North Tartan EYBL</strong>
Timmer is a very lengthy guard who gets to the rim very well. Timmer glides through the defense with ease as she scores at the rim well with all of her length. She’s a student of the game with a very high basketball IQ. South Dakota State commit
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="6410" first="Natalie" last="Holte"] - 2021 - Shakopee HS - Minnesota Stars</strong>
Holte played as one of the best point guard performances on the day. She played at her pace the entire game and was able to run the offense really well. She attacked the rim well and she also shot it really well from beyond the arc.
<strong>Aaliyah Smith - 2022 - Verona HS - Wisconsin Flight UAA</strong>
Smith is an ultra-fast guard who plays the game so tough. She was getting to the rim really well all game long. Smith has great body control once at the rim and can score well against taller defenders in the paint. One of the top point guards in the nation.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="13959" first="Arianna" last="Jackson"] - 2023 - Roosevelt HS - All Iowa Attack EYBL</strong>
Jackson looked very solid on Saturday with the 16U EYBL team. She commanded the offense well from the guard spot and she always plays hard. She’s a confident player who plays her best when she is able to run with the ball.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
