When she steps on the hardwood and sits in the middle of the lane, others know that she is there because if they don't or they forget, its going to be a long night for their opposing team. This is a next level defender with height (6'0) and a ton of strength to pair along with that height. If you get in the way, you better watch out cause Galloway isn't afraid to go through you if she happens to see an opening. This is a 6'0 Forward, that competes with a chip on her shoulder mentality. She knows that nothing is given, everything is earned within sports and she is ready to show that off at a high rate this Winter, prior to her taking the college floor in the near future.

I have a feeling that the state of Iowa is going to be reminded who and what Hallie Vander Weerdt really is when she is at full strength this Winter. We haven't really see Vander Weerdt over the last year or so but I'm now hearing that she is back and better than ever. The 6'1 Forward has that reach, athletic ability, and discipline that all coaches love to see. She is very good at defending and rebounding near the basket but offensively she is also fairly skilled in her own right. She can work with her back to the basket or she can step out with some screening action. I could see Vander Weerdt being a big time producer at Maryville when she steps on campus if she can find her role early within their system. In this update Vander Weerdt moves back into the Top 20 at #19 with some more room to grow as we move forward.

Morgyn Bender sneaks into this update to round off the Top 75 at #75. Bender, the 5'11 Forward, is her team's motor at Mid-Prairie High School the last thress seasons. Whenever this group has had success from the Forward position or inside the paint in the past, it is usually because of Bender and her mixture of athletic ability and size in-between the blocks. Opponents don't understand that when they get into the lane, they need to know here Bender is at all times. If not - that possession is usually going to end up in a blocked shot, tip, or deflection. To my understanding, this is someone that is a multiple sports athlete with a ton of success and interest from the next level in other sports as well. I'm not sure where she will end up or what she will end up competing in but no matter - whenever she competes, she leaves it all on the hardwood and I would expect nothing less at the next level once she finally gets there either.

When looking over everyone's body of work the last couple of years, it's hard to say that Sira Doumbia isn't the biggest Stock-Riser over all. Doumbia came out of nowhere. She didn't get any love from anyone as a Freshman and she was never the most dominant when she would compete. I'm not sure what clicked but since the start of last Varsity season Doumbia has but putting it together and moving in strides as she steps into her Senior season at CR - Washington this Winter. She has had some D1 offers and interest the last few months, which I don't expect to slow down. In this Update Doumbia moves into the Top 12 at #11 with the chance to break into the Top 10 this Winter during out next update in December.

We will be in the building this season to see Riley Meyer of Okoboji High School. Meyer, the Dordt WBB commit, has been one of the top producers within the state in recent history. When you go back and watch the games that this Okoboji team has played over the last three years, you notice one common factor to their success and that factor is Meyer. Her playmaking ability, how she gets others involved with simple movements and the way she leads vocally is very impressive. If she can keep that up moving into college down the line, I'm sure she will be someone we hear more and more about at Dordt as they look to bring another NAIA National Title home to the state of Iowa over the next few years.
