Madeline showed a little bit of everything on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. She handled the ball well for her size, played with a good motor and showed the versatility to impact the game in different areas.

Trueman’s 6’1 frame made her a dominant force inside, overpowering smaller opponents at the showcase. She was great at taking it to the basket and finishing through contact. Trueman has a soft touch and has improved her footwork around the rim. Her perimeter game continues to improve as she knocked down a few outside jump shots. As her perimeter skills grow, Trueman looks set for a standout freshman year at Arapahoe.

Trueman plays with tenacity on defense, a trait that will make her a force at the high school level. She is the ideal size at 6’1 to be a stretch four (in high school) and uses her frame and length well on defense. Trueman crashes the boards, contests and blocks shots, and is a presence on weak-side help. On offense, Trueman showcases polished post moves and finishes with ease around the basket. This summer, she added a new weapon to her arsenal, sinking corner threes with confidence. Trueman is primed to make an immediate impact as a freshman.
