She plays with good instincts and an understanding of how to contribute without needing to be the focal point. Ella is unselfish with the ball and does a nice job making plays that benefit her teammates, showing a maturity in her game that stands out.

Her quickness is especially valuable on the defensive end, where she has the ability to stay in front of other athletic, fast-moving players. She also uses her athleticism and timing to block shots and make plays around the basket. Offensively, Ella does a great job getting downhill and using her speed to create advantages for herself and her teammates, utilizing pick-ups and Euro steps to the basket. She also does a great job of moving without the ball, cutting to the basket after she passes, and finishing inside. When she creates a defensive opportunity, she can immediately turn it into offense by pushing the ball in transition and using her athleticism to attack.

Ella’s athleticism, quickness, defensive versatility, basketball instincts and unselfish style give her significant upside as she continues to develop.
