Girls Invitational Basketball Combine - Byron's Top Standouts

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The AAB Girls Invitational Combine brought plenty of talent to the gym, with a strong group of players getting the chance to compete, learn, and show where their games are. David Brown has invested heavily in girls basketball and remains one of the state's top trainers on both the boys and girls sides. His events always emphasize development, understanding the game, and helping players take something with them beyond the day itself. Several prospects made an impression throughout the combine, and these were some of my personal top standouts from the 5v5s.</h3>    There's something that sticks out to me every time I watch Avery play… and today it was the passing ability that seems to have either gotten sharper or her confidence has taken another leap. Her sliding into the playmaking role in some competitive games today showed a different side of her game, and if I'm a collegiate coach looking for a playmaking forward who can also score at a strong level, Dodge is one you want to contact.     In most of my evaluations of Taylor, I mention how aggressive and cerebral she is on the defensive end of the floor, and though she showed that on multiple occasions today, her offense and pure athleticism really stood out. She can score 6-10 points of hustle, and when she gets to the rim, she is explosive. Tough nosed kid who could have a huge freshman year. Big fan of what she brings to every possession.     Dulinksy has made MAJOR improvements to her game over the past couple of years... and much of it shows in her ability to shoot at a high clip. The form is effortlessly smooth and has a bit of speed to it... and with her height and length, if she's run off the line, she can get to the rim in just a couple of steps and dribbles.     I can honestly say this is my 2nd or 3rd time seeing Williams play, and once again she has left me impressed. From a talent standpoint, Williams has a different speed, gear, and motor than most guards. Though she may be seen as an under-sized guard, she makes up for all of it on the athleticism standpoint, and her handles and feel for the game are college-ready. Whether it is the visibility or lack of attention, Williams has a case for one of the more well-rounded guards in the state, and that will be reflected in the next update.     King isn't your classic rim runner... and though she does have that in her bag of skills, her ability to handle the plaumakling dutoies on some possessions really stood out. She has a strong build and good height as well. Her mobility and vision point to a player who could really make an impact at the next level. The foundation is there. Big fan.
