Every player should be at least comfortable putting the ball in the bucket, whether it's their main skill or not. Yes, defense helps win games, but at the end of the day, points determine the outcome, so your program needs an offensive threat. However, putting up numbers is one thing; putting them up consistently against quality competition is more valuable. Below are a couple of prospects who can score the ball, no matter who is across from them.

Pound for pound, one of the top consistent scorers in this class. Natalie has that "clear out" skillset, and no matter if the defense is physical, aggressive or bigger.. she will find a way to put the ball in the bucket. At every level, she is a threat, and if the possession calls for it, she can play off-ball and take over a game as a spot-up shooter. This year, I wouldn't be surprised to see another 20+ PPG type of season.

Garcia was a huge reason her program found itself downstate this past season, and her scoring was key to that success. In terms of development, she's added to her game since freshman year, and I believe her confidence will be at the top of that this season. She's always shown belief in her game, as well as in her teammates and coaches, but once a player realizes their game has to be top-tier for their program to be competitive, their mentality changes... and Ava is in that boat. She missed a chunk of the summer due to injury, but now she's back at 100%. We should see that same offensive output in November.

An argument can be made for Freundt as one of the top shooters in this class as far as consistency goes, and this season she'll have to duplicate what she's already done. There has been major growth in her ball handling ability as well, which should help her create shots on her own. When you tie in the patience and poise she plays with, along with her ability to hit angles with pace and get to the rim, you can see why she's a threat to score at multiple levels.

Scoring has levels, and what Summer can do puts her at the top level. Whether it's in the flow of the game or in isolation, she can fill up the scoreboard quickly, and it's hard to slow her down. She can attack you from every angle, move and score with pace, while still applying major pressure on the defense. Personally, I think she's at her best in a 1v1 situation, but if a double comes, she's smart enough to figure out which defender to attack first to free herself up.
