2022 Mary Clare Brusek, 5’11” Forward, Marist
An athletic Forward who can stretch the floor a bit with her skills on the perimeter, Brusek plays hard and consistently excels on both ends of the court. She handles the ball well in the transition game and can attack the lane from the Wing. Mary Clare is an exceptional rebounder on both offense and defense and finishes with good strength at the rim.
2021 Ally Kallianis, 5’7” Guard, Marist
Kallianis is a quick and scrappy Guard who can play on or off the ball. She handles the ball well under pressure and succeeds in an up-tempo style of play. Ally can shoot the three consistently and plays terrific on-ball defense on opposing ballhandlers.
2023 Megan Flynn, 5’10” Guard, Marist
A versatile Sophomore with a well-rounded set of skills, Flynn uses her length and athleticism to contribute on all areas of the court. She is a plus shooter from beyond the three-point line and can drive from the wing and finish through contact. Megan can guard a variety of Guards and Forwards with her strength and athleticism.
2022 Charlotte Trunk, 5’10” Forward, Carl Sandburg
Trunk is a lengthy and strong athlete who can play an off-ball Guard role or step in the lane and make an impact in the post. She attacks the lane well from the wing with her ballhandling skills and uses her strength and long arms to finish at the rim. Charlotte can also use her physical traits to defend multiple positions effectively.
2023 Elise Ward, 5’10” Guard, Marist
A terrific athlete and dynamic player on offense, Ward was tough to guard throughout the scrimmages. She has sound ballhandling abilities and uses her quickness to get in the lane with ease and can score in a variety of ways. Elise can shoot the ball from deep and defend any of the Guard positions with her length and athleticism.
2023 Maureen Regan, 5’5” Guard, St. Ignatius
Regan is a rock-solid Point Guard who possesses everything coaches look for in a leader on the court. She is confident and smooth with the ball and uses her speed to push past defenders in the open floor. Maureen has tremendous court vision and is always accurately passing the ball to her teammates for easy chances at the bucket.
2022 Casey Flynn, 5’11” Forward, Marist
A high-IQ player who understands her role on the floor, Flynn is an excellent ‘glue’ player with a consistent style of play. She is a great shooter with a nice-looking jumper from deep and in the mid-range. In addition to the jump shot, Casey can beat defenders one-on-one and make creative plays in the lane.
2023 Claire Callaghan, 5’7” Guard, Carl Sandburg
Callaghan is a multitalented Point Guard who leads the offense in a number of ways. She handles the ball confidently and makes good decisions regularly. Claire can shoot the three well and plays tough on-ball defense against opposing ballhandlers.
2023 Josie Canellis, 5’6” Guard, Carl Sandburg
The most consistent three-point shooter from the scrimmages, Canellis has a consistent and confident shot from deep. She is an intelligent player who plays within herself and contributes in a positive way on both ends of the floor. In addition to shooting the ball exceptionally well, Josie showed that she could attack the lane and score over taller defenders.
