Sydney Gueterman has been versatile for years being able to guard multiple positions using her height to cause problems.  One of the things she has added to her arsenal over the past year is shooting from deep.  She can drive the ball with fakes to get around her opponents, or she can knock it down from all over the court.  She rebounds effectively on both ends, and she can be counted on to block shots from the paint.  She has been used to playing college speed and will be capable of making an immediate impact at Catawba next season.

Gueterman will be joining another Lady Attack Elite teammate Mary Spry as she commits to play next season with Catawba.  Gueterman has been exceptional showing off post moves on the block, and she has been working to expand the floor even more knocking down shots from deep.  She can drive to the basket herself from the top of the key, and she does well staying ready for a pass in transition to score on a fast break.  She’s quick laterally being able to defend guards, and she can prevent post players from scoring in the paint.

Sydney Gueterman Sydney Gueterman 5'11" | SF 1 Of 1 Prep Academy | 2023 State NC was showing off her ability to guard anyone using her length and long strides to stay in front of her opponent.  She doesn’t shy away from getting inside to grab the rebound.  She has expanded the court being able to catch a pass outside the paint, drive hard to the basket, and score in addition to posting up on the block for the entry pass and bucket.

Sydney Gueterman Sydney Gueterman 5'11" | SF 1 Of 1 Prep Academy | 2023 State NC has really been working on expanding the floor these past couple of seasons that she has played between her competitions with 1 of 1 Prep and Lady Attack Elite this summer.  She has been dominant in the paint blocking shots, using post moves to score, and grabbing rebounds.  This past year, though, she has been showing off her jump shot from all over the court including behind the three point line.  This versatility has definitely gotten her noticed by college coaches.
