This look at a few 2025s, who certainly will be impact players at their high schools, is the last of a series that shared notes on players from the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Aviana Garrett, 5’8”, CG, Leavenworth, Showtime SWMO 16U and Odom – Garrett showed some interesting trickiness as a defender. Offensive players seemed to underestimate her ability to help on basket drives and disrupt entry passes. In transition she showed good quickness to get out in transition, speed with the ball, and good ability to finished with length and athleticism. Garrett was a perimeter threat but will be even moreso when she consistently sets herself in preparation to receive the ball for a quick shot.
Aliyah Green, 6’1”?, PF, Hutchinson, Kansas United 2025 Soyez – Green runs well, has strong handles and finishing ability, works off the screen with a jab step and go but what really stood out was her leadership and IQ. She understands the game well and was vocal, especially on the defensive end.
Grace Posch, 5’7”, PG, Hutchinson, Kansas United 2025 Soyez – Posch was very good bringing the ball up the floor against one-on-one pressure. She also showed herself to be a viable perimeter shooter and a finisher. Finds and defends ball handlers quickly and solidly.
