KyMara Barber, 5’9, G, Sunrise Academy, 2025 – Barber had a physical presence all day long. I watched her track down offensive boards and bang down low. In transition she was looking to attack. She had a really nice behind the back move to the basket against a good defender.
SiMayah Ellis, 5’7, G, Sunrise Academy, 2025 – This was the second time I was able to watch SiMayah play. Her ability to drive to the basket with both hands has always impressed me. She’s got a really explosive first step and plays with great energy. Defensively Ellis is always out in the passing lanes and she makes it hard to handle the ball.
Maddie Gragg, 5’9, G, Topeka Seaman, 2025 – Gragg really stood out at the Expo. She’s an extremely long, athletic guard who can create off the bounce. I was really impressed with her ability to shoot and shoot from distance. She had a quick trigger and was always ready to shoot on the catch. I look for Maddie to make an immediate impact for Seaman.
Grace McCallop Grace McCallop 5'9" | PG Bishop Miege | 2025 State KS , 5’9, G, Bishop Miege – Just like her older sister Emajin, Grace had a deadly first step to the basket. Her ability to handle the ball in traffic and finish through contact set her apart. For as young as she is, McCallop also does a really good job defending on the ball.
Marilyn Soeken Marilyn Soeken 5'7" | CG Central Plains | 2025 State KS , 5’7, G, Central Plains – Another stud from Central Plains. When Soeken gets the ball, she is putting pressure on the defense and looking to score. Her energy on the floor is contagious. Soeken always seemed to be around the ball on both ends of the floor.
