The Division 2 Final 4 featured high quality programs and elite talent. We watched history unfold, as DEPSA chased their 3rd consecutive state title, this time moving up to Division 2.
In the semifinals, Freeland edged Hamilton in a highly competitive matchup. The final score was 71-66. Across the bracket, DEPSA outgunned Haslett by a score of 70-43.
The championship game between DEPSA and Freeland featured 2 dominant Division 2 teams. DEPSA was able to pull away, winning the title by a score of 77-58. The victory ensured that the DEPSA team and program will go down in history as one of the best ever in Michigan high school basketball.

Was there any doubt? Jackson might be the toughest high school player to stop 1-on-1 in the country. In the semifinals she had 26 points and 8 rebounds. Jackson continued her dominance in the championship, scoring 28 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. After Saturday, [player_tooltip player_id="2386" first="Rickea" last="Jackson"] may go down as the best high school basketball player to ever call Michigan home.
<h2>Honorable Mentions</h2>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22351" first="Alyssa" last="Argyle"] </strong>(Freeland)
Argyle was 1 win away from being the MVP. In the round of 4 she had a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists. In the championship she had 18 points and grabbed 5 boards.
<strong>Lily Beyer </strong>(Freeland)
Beyer had a memorable weekend. In the semis she scored 13 points. She followed that with a hard fought 7 against DEPSA.

Blanchard played like the high level prospect that she is. In the semis she had 23 points and 7 rebounds. In the championship game, Blanchard had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
<strong>A.J. Ediger </strong>(Hamilton)
Ediger was dominant in the semifinals, putting up a double-double with 33 points and 17 rebounds.

Elliott is an elite player on a national scale and that was easy to see last weekend. In the semis she had 21 points and 4 assists. In the state championship, Elliott had 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Hagemann once again showed that she’s an elite young floor general. In the semifinals she had 8 points and 5 assists. In the title game she had 13 points and dished out 9 assists.

Nosek excelled against an elite DEPSA roster, scoring 16 points and grabbing 5 rebounds.
