With so much talent on the floor at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase, there were plenty of players who made an impression beyond the names that landed on the All-Showcase teams. While they may not have received one of my First, Second, Third or Defensive Team selections, these prospects showed flashes that caught my attention and gave me plenty of reasons to keep them on my radar. Whether it was their ability to create for teammates, knock down shots, defend, rebound, bring energy, or simply make winning plays, each showed something worth remembering. Here are some under-the-radar players from the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase that you'll want to know moving forward.

Sophia is an under-the-radar guard who gave me plenty of reasons to keep her on my radar at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. The Team 9 guard showed a natural feel for creating for others, consistently playing with her head up and seeing the floor well. In transition, she pushed the pace while surveying the floor and delivered some impressive passes to teammates in stride. Sophia was just as effective creating in the half court, using her shifty handle to attack the lane, draw multiple defenders, and recognize when to get the ball to the open teammate. She also showed some craft as a scorer with a nice step-through move and brought extra effort on the glass, using her quickness to track down offensive rebounds. Her combination of court vision, ball handling, playmaking, and feel for the game makes Sophia a freshman prospect worth keeping an eye on as she continues to develop.

Maeva is another under-the-radar guard who caught my attention at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase with her ability to contribute in several areas. During 3v3, she showed a confident handle, knocked down a mid-range jumper, and anticipated a passing lane to come away with a steal. One of her best plays came as a facilitator, when she delivered an excellent wraparound pass into the post, showing both creativity and court vision. During 5v5, the Team 7 guard continued to show her versatility, staying active on the glass and stretching the floor by knocking down a three. Maeva also did a nice job creating off the bounce, attacking the lane and drawing multiple defenders before finding an open teammate. Her combination of ball handling, shooting, vision, and ability to create for others makes her a freshman prospect worth continuing to follow.

Irelynn is a crafty guard who caught my attention with her ability to create off the dribble during the 5v5 portion of the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. The Team 7 guard has a good handle and plays with plenty of shiftiness, using changes of direction to create space and work her way into the lane. Once she gets around the rim, Irelynn showed creativity as a finisher and the ability to adjust when the defense stepped in front of her. One of her more impressive moves was a smooth spin in the lane that was difficult for the defense to contain and created a scoring opportunity. She also showed a good understanding of how to move without the ball, timing a backdoor cut perfectly and turning it into a bucket. With her combination of ball handling, creativity, footwork, and feel for finding openings in the defense, Irelynn is an under-the-radar freshman I'll be interested to continue watching.

Alex is a versatile wing who showed the ability to impact the game in a number of ways at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. During 3v3, she put the ball on the floor, ripped baseline, and finished for a bucket, while her length and timing showed on the defensive end with multiple blocks out on the perimeter. During 5v5, the Team 10 wing showed another part of her game by securing defensive rebounds and immediately pushing the pace herself, keeping her head up and delivering quality passes to teammates in transition. Alex also ran the floor hard when she didn't have the ball and was rewarded with transition buckets. She rebounded well, showed confidence handling the ball, and displayed strong hands by securing catches in traffic. Her combination of length, ball skills, rebounding, defensive versatility, and ability to contribute in transition makes Alex an intriguing under-the-radar prospect to continue following.

Kamylle is an under-the-radar frontcourt prospect who showed a nice combination of interior skill and scoring touch at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. During 3v3, she worked hard to establish position in the paint, giving her teammates a strong target inside, while also showing her touch by knocking down a stop-and-pop mid-range jumper. During 5v5, the Team 10 forward continued to make an impact around the basket, doing a great job sealing her defender to create scoring opportunities inside. She showed good footwork around the rim and consistently battled on the glass, using her positioning to secure rebounds. Kamylle's ability to establish herself in the paint, rebound, finish around the basket, and step out to the mid-range gives her a solid foundation to continue building on and makes her a freshman prospect worth following.
