Continue ReadingThe first NCAA Live Period for Division 1 coaches will take place April 26-28. As is often the case, no major event will be going on in the northwest. Most teams from Washington, Oregon and Idaho travel pretty far distances to maximize their exposure opportunities. Here are three events to follow that some of the top talent from Washington will be participating in April 26-28.
1) Elite is Earned Spring Invitational (Walnut Creek, CA) – Recruiting and events guru, Chris Hansen (Prospects Nation/Elite is Earned) has partnered with Carl Tinsley (End of Trail) to produce competitive events for teams along the west coast. The sold out event will provide a good amount of talent with teams from Nevada, California, Washington and other surrounding states. This viewing event will have anywhere in the range of 100 plus college coaches. FOH Team Loyd, EBC, KMBA, NW Stars, WA Swarm, 90Ten, Bucky’s, Pacific and more northwest programs will have teams in the 14u-17u divisions.

2) Nike EYBL/Boo Williams Invitational (Hampton, VA) – Tree of Hope will send its three teams to Virginia for the ultra competitive Nike event. The 17u and 16u teams will be playing in the EYBL portion of the event. Both teams will be placed with Kentucky Premier, Philly Belles and Colorado Premier in their division. The 15u team will play in the Boo Williams Nike invitational, which is one of the biggest events of the entire year on a consistent basis. Team Northwest will also have their 17u and 16u teams in the EYBL. Team Northwest is a collaboration of Fast (Oregon) and NW Magic (Tacoma, WA).

3) adidas Gauntlet/Heart of Texas National Showcase (Frisco, TX) – The Heart of Texas will be ran by national tournament organizer, Premier Basketball. Frisco, Texas will be the go to spot for over 500 college coaches of all different levels. Hundreds of teams from all over the country will be in this event. The adidas Gauntlet will also be played hand in hand. The Northwest Blazers will be sending 5 teams to play in the Gauntlet. The Northwest Greyhounds and multiple other teams out of the northwest will be participating in the Texas event as well.
