Logan Nissley Logan Nissley 6'0" | CG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND – Bismarck Century has had an undefeated/perfect season and Logan had a lot to do with that. She’s an easy choice for WDA MVP as a major producer in many statistical categories. She led the WDA in scoring during the regular season at 21.6 ppg. and was just chosen as Gatorade Player Of The Year.
In this first part of the WDA analysis, we’ll cover Bismarck Century, Bismarck Legacy, Jamestown, and Watford City.
WDA Breakout Prospect
Bergan Kinnebrew Bergan Kinnebrew 5'11" | CG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND – Bergan broke-out in a major way this season, scoring nearly 18 ppg. and being an overall playmaker. She is tough to stop when she decides to attack the hoop. She is a crafty and creative scorer when she gets in the paint, and can finish easily with both hands. I wouldn’t be surprised if she poured in 20 points per game next season. Bergan has the looks of a D1 prospect, with only her three-point shooting being a question mark.
Bismarck Century (22-0)
Bismarck Century had a perfect regular season and they look to continue to be unblemished throughout the state tournament. They ride on the leadership and skills of WDA MVP Logan Nissley Logan Nissley 6'0" | CG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND . Bergan Kinnebrew Bergan Kinnebrew 5'11" | CG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND ’s emergence as a scorer and top prospect in the state has been key for them. She put in 17.8 ppg. in the regular season. She was highly efficient, with a 48% field goal percentage. Senior guard Abby Fletcher Abby Fletcher 5'9" | SG Bismarck Century | 2022 State ND has finally got her chance to shine, receiving significant playing time, and producing 9.3 ppg. She had a great season shooting the three, making 44 of 117 for 37.6%. 2024 guard Eden Fridley Eden Fridley 5'9" | CG Bismarck Century | 2024 State ND has emerged for Century as a lock-down defender. She will harass the opposing ball-handler up and down the court with her speed and elite fluidity. Zoie Austin Zoie Austin 5'7" | CG Bismarck Century | 2025 State ND is a name that needs to be mentioned. She’s a Freshman guard that gets after it and is athletic. Moves with strength and fluidity and is on the D2/NAIA trajectory. She should make a major step forward for Century next season, given more playing time. She’ll be a breakout candidate.
Jamestown (13-9)
You can’t talk about Jamestown and not mention Senior forward Anthonett Nabwe Anthonett Nabwe 5'9" | SF Jamestown | 2022 State ND . She broke out in a big way a couple of seasons ago, as a major athlete, that used her athleticism to make plays all over the court. She plays with strength and aggression, which allowed her to take the WDA rebounding crown again this season with a 12.1 average. She can score too, as one of the top scorers in the WDA at 14.1 ppg. Nabwe is probably the best athlete in the state. A rare combination of power and explosion. Ella Falk Ella Falk 5'10" | SG Jamestown | 2023 State ND had an outstanding and efficient season as a guard with good size, skill, and understanding of the game. She scored 12.7 ppg. and shot the three very well, making 39 on 39.8%. Along with her three-point ability, Ella led the WDA in assists at 5.8 per game. Katie Falk Katie Falk 5'8" | SF Jamestown | 2023 State ND also produced for Jamestown for 12.3 ppg. on a 49.7 fg%. Katie is a gritty guard that plays with strength and pulled down 190 rebounds on the season. Rylee Joseph Rylee Joseph 5'7" | CG Jamestown | 2023 State ND is a solid and skilled guard for Jamestown that was especially deadly from three, making 43 on 34.7%.
Bismarck Legacy (12-10)
Legacy’s top guard prospect is 6’0 G/Wing, Alyssa Eckroth Alyssa Eckroth 6'1" | SG Bismarck Legacy | 2023 State ND . She has an offer from University of Mary, because of her skill and length combination. She has prototypical size and build for her position. She’s invested in the game and has potential going into her college playing days. She put in a solid 13.6 ppg. through 22 games and shot the three at a 33.3% clip. 2024 point guard Mia Berryhill Mia Berryhill 5'8" | CG Bismarck Legacy | 2024 State ND went from a small guard to a point guard with adequate size for the next level. She’s now standing at her listed 5’7 mark. She scored 7.0 ppg. and shot a respectable 35.4% from three, on 28 makes. Berryhill is highly skilled with the ball and has a smooth jumper. She’s a left handed prospect. Mia is a breakout candidate for next season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was in the 10-14ppg. range. 6’3 center 2025 prospect, Brooklynn Felchle Brooklynn Felchle 6'3" | C Bismarck Legacy | 2025 State ND is a rising prospect in the WDA. She moves well and possesses very long arms, that she uses to reach up for rebounds. Brooklynn needs to be monitored closely by D1/D2 programs in the region. Her ending spot will depend on how much she develops her playing strength and physicality.
Watford City (6-18)
Watford City had a down season going 6-18 overall. A bright spot for them this season was Madison Spacher Madison Spacher 5'11" | PF Watford City | 2022 State ND . Madison has been a household name in the WDA the past few seasons, but the Valley City State commit really had a breakout season. She averaged 18.0 ppg. through 24 games. Jessica Mogen Jessica Mogen 5'9" | CG Watford City | 2024 State ND is next in line at Watford City to be the unquestioned go-to player. She has extensive varsity experience already, but she’ll take on a larger scoring role next season. She scored 13.9 ppg. this season, but that should take a steady bump up next season.
