Considering that this season’s Carolinas Classic was held at 5A Division 1 Dorman, one could call White one of the grand marshals for this season’s festivities. White got to showcase her talents on her home court one more time and added 10 points to South Carolina’s total. A double-double possibility on a game-by-game basis, White nearly averaged one this past season with the Cavaliers. The 19.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game White averaged led Dorman to a berth in the Upper State semifinals. White is set to take her talents to the next level at UNC-Wilmington.

While the 2025-26 season has seen more highlights for 5A Division 1 Dorman than lowlights, the Cavaliers’ contest against 4A Westside was an exception. White still had a productive evening at the 5A Division 1 J.L. Mann office to the tune of 14 points to pace her team. White is one of the more effective bigs in the state – if she has the ball in close proximity to the rim, it is virtually automatic two points will be scored. As a veteran, White plays with her back to the basket, is effective in the low post and is every bit as effective a rebounder as she is a scorer. Add to the fact that White can block many a shot and there is a reason why the walking double-double that is White is poised for success at the collegiate level with UNC-Wilmington.

A dominant post player that is averaging a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. As if that isn’t impressive enough, Morgan is shooting 69 percent from field goals. That is almost unheard of in the high school game. An early signee with University of North Carolina-Wilmington, I expect White to be a force at the next level for the next four years. She and Dorman teammates still have a lot of ball to play as they should make a deep run into the playoffs.

We begin this week’s recruiting notebook not with additional offers, but with a commitment announcement. One of the premier bigs in South Carolina declared on her social media she would commit to the Seahawks of UNC-Wilmington. She was first offered by the Seahawks last calendar year and has received plenty of interest since from schools such as Presbyterian, Denmark Tech, North Carolina A&T, Elon, Towson, UNC-Greensboro, East Carolina and Gardner-Webb. White originally played junior varsity before working her way up to the varsity level. The Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite product averaged 18.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest last season in 27 games. Her Dorman team is stacked and will be among the 5A Division 1 favorites this season.

Speaking of veteran stars that are earning collegiate offers, White once again displayed the talents of a college prospect on Thursday at Pleasant Hill MS. One of Dorman’s games that day was opposite another 5A team in J.L. Mann. It appeared whenever she had the ball in the low post, she was a matchup problem that the Patriots could not do anything about. When one is 6-foot-4 as White is, a team will have the advantage in the paint more often than not. She is also an on-court leader for her team and understands that playing in the interior means getting physical and attracting plenty of attention from defenses.

The Cavaliers of 5A Division 1 Dorman, plush gym and all, are consistently in the contenders’ conversation. White sporting the Cavaliers colors for her senior season will surely keep Dorman there. She began her career as a junior varsity player in the eighth grade and proved herself more than worthy of varsity status. White played in 27 of Dorman’s 28 games last season and averaged 18.2 points per game plus 8.3 rebounds a contest. Collegiate interest is also on the rise for the Palmetto 76ers/A’ja Wilson Elite product as she was offered by Gardner-Webb at the conclusion of last month.

We mentioned one 6-foot-5 Upstate big earlier in this piece and now turn our attention to another. Towards the end of May, the standout enter of 5A Division 1 Dorman landed an offer from Gardner-Webb. White already had interest from Presbyterian and UNC-Wilmington. It does not matter what is thrown in her direction – White is certain to corral the rock then gets to work in the interior. She also understands the art of rebounding and those are attributes that contributed to another solid Cavaliers season in 2024-25. The 18.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest she averaged helped as well.

Morgan moved up from #24 to #10 this time around in the latest 2026 Palmetto State Rankings. Morgan is a legit center with size down low for the Lady Cavaliers. She has soft hands to catch anything thrown in her direction. Morgan keeps the ball up high above her head after claiming it off the glass. She does a good job of being a mover-screener on the floor.
Morgan picked up a few offers this spring from UNC-Wilmington and Presbyterian (SC).

The Cavaliers star big began her sophomore season in emphatic fashion as her 5A Dorman team claimed an emphatic victory over 3A Powdersville. The final score was 69-38 and White led the way to victory with an 18-point game. With her 6-foot-4 frame, she presents plenty of matchup problems for many an opposing five. It appeared if she had the ball in her hands in the interior that she was virtually an automatic two points. White’s ability to convert on high-percentage shot opportunities is complimented by her ability to draw contact and connect on her opportunities at the free throw line.
