It never hurts to promote the Class of 2025.
A lot of these prospects were getting their first looks on the high school court. Furthermore, some gained experience as eight graders and beyond. Still, many of these names are under the radar.
I will try and avoid some of the high-profile names as many South Florida fans already know the top players in this class. You can take a look at part one by clicking here.
Let's jump into this one..
[player_tooltip player_id="243902" first="Maddie" last="Wallhoff"] - Westminster Academy
Westminster Academy doesn't win its first girls basketball title in 31 years without [player_tooltip player_id="243902" first="Maddie" last="Wallhoff"]. The 5-foot-9 guard scored 15 points and knocked down three 3-pointers in the championship game against Cardinal Mooney. She clearly stepped up at the right time. Per information, Wallhoff hit 28 3-pointers at a 38 percent clip. Overall, she averaged 3.4 points per game across 30 games. Wallhoff also received varsity minutes as an eight grader. Her sister, Emma Wallhoff, is a freshman at Southern Mississippi.
[player_tooltip player_id='419934' first='Abby' last='Price'] - Westminster Academy
Another Westminster Academy prospect to look out for is [player_tooltip player_id='419934' first='Abby' last='Price']. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Overall, Price scored in double-figures in four games. Against Miami Country Day (20-9), Price scored 12 points while shooting 5-of-8 from the floor. She also recorded nine boards against Miami Christian and Dillard. From deep, she knocked down 14 3-pointers. Price's length and increased scoring development is something to watch.
[player_tooltip player_id="248691" first="Brianna" last="Brown"] - Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy
[player_tooltip player_id="248691" first="Brianna" last="Brown"] should have a bright future in South Florida. The 5-foot-10 shooting guard/small forward averaged 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game across 30 contests this season. She also played in over 20 games as an eight grader. Brown's size and length has value. She scored 15 points and hit five 3-pointers against Dr. Krop. Overall, she knocked down 33 3-pointers. On the glass, Brown secured two games with ten or more boards. Against Somerset Academy Silver Palms, she recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Brown played on a CCA team that went 23-7 overall and reached the Class 4A state title game before falling to Lake Highland Prep.
[player_tooltip player_id="214182" first="Chardae" last="Rumph"] - Miami Norland
[player_tooltip player_id="214182" first="Chardae" last="Rumph"] had a productive season for Miami Norland. Cutting down on turnovers should be a point of emphasis. However, Rumph has pretty good vision (68 assists) and is a good rebounder (62) at the position. Miami Norland went 11-9 overall with her in the mix.
[player_tooltip player_id="221653" first="Jada" last="Johnson"] - Miami Country Day
