With multiple games happening at once it can make it difficult to see everyone’s talent. I am reviewing the players that caught my eye as some of the best of the day.
Elise Grosdidier | Kansas Elite | Forward | 5’11” | Class of 2024
In the first game I caught of the day, Grosdidier’s size and athleticism stood out. She seemed bigger than 5’11” with her play in the paint and ran the floor like a guard. It was easy to see, part of Kansas Elite’s game plan was to get Grosdidier the ball and let her go to work. The Kansas team has length up and down the lineup, however Grosdidier quickness and offensive post moves made her a difficult matchups for teams on Saturday. Only a sophomore, Grosdidier’s development should be one to watch!

Jesani Green | Unity Stars | Forward | 6’0″ | Class of 2024
In another early game and an afternoon one, Green caught my eye. Her size and strength stood out immediately, playing through contact with ease. However, Green has an above average skillset when it comes to ball handling and can take the other teams lengthy players on the outside and take them off the dribble. She showed she has the range to knock down a three, but her strength comes when she catches the ball down low where she has excellent footwork and can draw contact for plenty of and one opportunities. On the defensive side, her length helps alter shots but she does need to do a better job of just getting long straight up and down, this would help her to not have foul trouble. Another player with a ton of potential as she keeps molding her craft and working on her motor.

Inia Jones | Nebraska Hoops Elite | Guard | 5’6′ | Class of 2024
I absolutely love everything about Jones’s game. She plays with an attack mentality on both sides of the ball and has a swagger than is not often matched on the floor, Chris Paul like. She is the true definition of a point guard, as she controls the offense and has excellent ball handling skills. Jones can get to any spot on the floor she likes to score or set her teammates up for an open shot. In the game against Omaha Supreme, Jones was the best player on the floor, scored inside and out while racking up a number of steals on the defensive side. Omaha Central has some of their top players graduating this year but the Eagles are in safe hands with Jones.

Laynee Hogan | Iowa Prep | Guard | 5’8″ | Class of 2025
Hogan I saw twice today and both times she caught my attention. Her hustle up and down the floor was impressive, made me feel how invested she was into winning. She does a great job creating her own shot and attacking the rim, putting pressure on defenses. She is a physical guard who does not mid getting into the lane to draw contact or applying that physicality to opponents on the offensive end. Hogan has a bright future as her commitment to the game, and winning the game, seems to be a passion.
Mya Skoff | Nebraska Supreme | Guard | 5’10” | Class of 2023
Around Nebraska, Skoff is already a top prospect and today did nothing to hurt her position. An elite level scorer, Skoff can shoot from anywhere on the floor with a high percentage. Her ability to get to the basket and play through contact is spectacular and only opens her full offensive package. Skoff has that Kobe mentality of attacking with every possession, and is not afraid to take a shot no matter how big the moment. Skoff is a big guard and creates a lot of mismatches with her size and strength on the perimeter. On a loaded Nebraska Supreme 2023 team, Skoff is the cream of the crop.
