The Wolverinas defeated Kentucky Ice 61-35 to cruise to the Gold Championship.
Rachel Smith Rachel Smith 5'7" | SG Great Crossing | 2023 State KY , 5-7 2023, Kentucky Ice 2023
What I really like about Rachel is that she is super active on defense and moves her feet well. She is very court aware on where she needs to be on both sides of the ball. She moves well on offense without the ball and does an excellent job pushing transition on the outlet pass. She has good court vision and a high basketball IQ. Love her intensity!
Katy Eidle Katy Eidle 5'11" | CG Hersey | 2023 State #45 Nation IL , 5-11 2023, Wolverinas 2023
The University of Michigan recruit is one of three Wolverinas on the first-team and for good reason. After a very close bracket opener, they rolled to the title. Katy is a player who is just so fundamentally sound and does the little things for her team. The first thing I notice everytime I see her is you better never leave her open. She will torch the defense all night! Deadly from beyond the arc, moves well and is such a smart player.
Emily Fisher Emily Fisher 6'0" | SF Libertyville | 2023 State #48 Nation IL , 6-0 2023, Wolverinas 2023
Love her intensity on the court, Emily is also headed to the Big Ten as she is headed to Maryland. Uses her length to be able to guard anyone on the court, has a high motor and can play physical through contact. Has good range, can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. She does a good job seeing the floor.
Aubrey Galvan Aubrey Galvan 5'7" | PG Loyola Academy | 2025 State IL , 5-6 2025, Full Package 2023 Black
Find me a better sophomore PG in America., I will wait! She has it all, flashiness, competitive spirit, court vision, can make the impossible pass and make it count. Flashy handles, pushes tempo and is able to read and react well on defensive. Good range, can score off the move. So quick and agile, can force turnovers and it is off the races.
Sophie Swanson Sophie Swanson 5'10" | SG Barrington | 2023 State IL , 5-11 2023, Wolverinas 2023
Headed to Purdue, Sophie really impressed me in the finals with her ability to do everything so well. Can score from all three phases, distributes the ball and moves well without the ball to create for her team. Defensively, she is long and athletic, can force turnovers and has a high basketball IQ. Knows where to be on the court.
