I had the chance to see many of the teams in action over several weeks, and over the next couple of weeks, I will look back at what I deemed as the players who caught my eye.
First up a look at some future standouts who saw their stock rise, followed later by some of the top point guards, posts, combo guards and wrapping up with my All-Circuit Teams for 2022.
Let’s start things off with some players who are solid stockrisers and have a bright future ahead.
Maddy King, 2024, Overtime Performance 2024
She was a player who impressed me with her ability to get to the rim and create with a variety of moves. She is a hard-nosed point guard with good vision and showed the ability to dish and distribute for the shot. Loved her effort and attitude and was able to push the tempo and handle the ball with both hands.
Addie Meyer, 2025, Illinois Hustle White
Smart heady player who does a good job around the boards and stays with the play. Is a good pick and roll player, plays with intensity and can create in the paint, including a baby hook which is effective. Shows good handles with both hands and is an effective passer.
Lauren Em, 2025, Fusion Basketball Academy Moore
An active guard who showed me the ability to anticipate the play well on defense. An athletic guard who moves well without the ball and showed good leadership with her teammates. Quick hands and active to create turnovers, able to create chances for her team.
Reece Crosby, 2026, Full Package Black 2026
I only saw her once this year but she was impressive enough to land on this season-ending list. She indeed has a good future ahead of her in the game. She has excellent moves and footwork to the rim. Plays well downhill and is fundamentally sound in a lot of aspects of the game. Will continue to work on her game and I look for her to come back in 2023 even better.
Maeve Nolan Maeve Nolan PG Berkley | 2024 State MI , 2024, Michigan Goonies
A sold athletic player who is very good on the defensive side of the ball. Good off the pick-and-pop. Has good handles, and showed good promise in the games I saw. Can play in transition and a productive player on both sides of the ball.
Ella Daniels Ella Daniels 5'10" | CG Christian Academy Louisville | 2024 State KY , 2024, Kentucky Ice 2023 Select
Long and athletic who can run the floor and finish on the break. She does a good job seeing the floor and is a solid passer, able to find the better shot. Ready for a big senior season. (feature photo above)
Rachel Stropshire, 2024, Richmond Heat 2023
She was playing up and showed good poise and handled herself well against the more experienced players She is a young and rising player who is long and athletic and aggressive to the rim. She is disruptive on defense with her. length in the paint. Also showed good range from the perimeter.
