Haley played with poise and let the game come to her. She has serious handles and had no problem getting past initial defenders. She did an excellent job running the offense and making sure to get her teammates involved as well.

Two of the three leading scorers at North Laurel will be lost to graduation in a couple of months and I expect Combs to be one of the biggest stock boosters next season but that can start as soon as next month with a big AAU season. Haley is a good shooter who can get to the rim and finish. Look for her to have a big spring and summer that gets her ready for a breakout season with the Lady Jags next season.

Combs displays a high IQ on the court and plays with a level of poise that you like to see in your starting PG. You can trust her to run the offensive and make the right decisions. Combs is at her best when she drives the ball and penetrates the defense to finish inside or dish it to open teammates. I believe she will turn heads this season and is a prospect to track going forward.

’26 – One of the best ’26 PGs in KY. She possesses high level athleticism, and has some nice shiftiness to her game. Elite defender that harasses ball handlers. Love see kids that want to defend in the live period. When she wants to get a paint touch, she’s really tough to stay in front of. She just makes winning plays. TOUGH finishes with either hand.

Combs is a quick, crafty guard who gets it done on both ends of the court. She can use her quickness to be a disruptive defender and she isn’t afraid to apply full court pressure. Combs has strong handles and various moves she uses to get away from the defense. She can score at the rim and is a creative finisher. She can also knock down jump shots and has good range on her shot. Combs uses her body to keep the defense on the inside and has a really solid skillset overall.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any scouts in Somerset or the surrounding areas, or at least we don’t have any yet, so despite Combs being ranked in the top 15, we still may actually have her ranked a little too low for her talent level. The reason I say that is because I have heard from multiple people that I trust that she is the real deal and I really hope I get the chance to see her live instead of on a livestream at some point this season. However, her talent shines even through a computer. Combs has great ball handling skills. She has a variety of moves she can turn to and she does a great job changing speeds to keep the defense on their toes. She can score at all 3 levels as well. Combs can finish in really crafty ways around the basket and she does a great job of shifting her body to keep the defense from being able to block her. She’s got good range on her outside shot and she’s a good passer also.
