Her value doesn’t stop on the offensive end, as her relentless defensive pressure and quick hands set the tone. Haley currently leads her team with 5.2 steals per game, while adding 8.3 points and 3 rebounds per game.

North Laurel standout guard Haley Combs Haley Combs 5'7" | PG North Laurel | 2026 State KY has picked up an offer from Union College (KY), marking her second college offer of the summer. The versatile guard is poised for a breakout senior season and will be a key piece for the Lady Jaguars as they look to make noise in the 13th Region once again.

North Laurel lost 2 of their top 3 scorers off a Sweet Sixteen team but have plans to return to Rupp Arena once again in March. If Haley Combs Haley Combs 5'7" | PG North Laurel | 2026 State KY can make the transition into being more of a scorer than usual, she will help the Lady Jags avoid a drop off from last season’s remarkable run. Haley is a good three point shooter that needs to get more to the free throw line more often as a Senior.

Haley played with poise and let the game come to her. She has serious handles and had no problem getting past initial defenders. She did an excellent job running the offense and making sure to get her teammates involved as well.

Two of the three leading scorers at North Laurel will be lost to graduation in a couple of months and I expect Combs to be one of the biggest stock boosters next season but that can start as soon as next month with a big AAU season. Haley is a good shooter who can get to the rim and finish. Look for her to have a big spring and summer that gets her ready for a breakout season with the Lady Jags next season.

The North Laurel girls basketball program is in good hands with Head Coach Eddie Mahan at the helm. They posted a 26-9 record last season and made their second straight trip to Rupp Arena.
