Here is my mid-season top five East and West best of the best. I haven’t seen every player in the state but these are my top choices.
East Team
Esmeralda Galindo
Esmeralda Galindo
She came out firing to start the season with a school record 36 points and surpassed the 30 mark in each of her first three games. Her team’s only loss being to 1A powerhouse Ellensburg.
She is athletic three who can rebound, run the floor and shoot the lights out from distance. She hit the 1,000 point mark already this season for her career.
Athletic post player who can step out and hit the jumper. She rebounds well and gets herself to the bucket. She has Colfax ranked #1 in class 2B and rolling.
Jamison Phillip

She would be the floor general for the East team. She is quick and plays pressure defense from end to end. She is a good ball handling guard with a sweet mid-range jumper.
Staying with the class 2A number 1. She is athletic and can rebound, run, plug the middle and block shots.
West Team –
One of the best prospects in the state. She is ultra athletic and smooth. She has one of the most legit mid-range jumpers in the state. She can handle the rock, take it to the bucket, or pull her jumper to get buckets.
The most skilled player in the state in my opinion. She can lose her defender like none other. She shoots it as well as any player in the state. She is bound to go over 40 any night and a player of the year candidate as a freshman. She and Fiso will be teammates next summer in select ball. Not a bad backcourt!
Highlights
No need to worry about rebounding, she has it covered. One of the most athletic and talented players I have watched this season. She started the season with video game numbers putting up monster double doubles.

Led the 4A state tournament in scoring and rebounding last season. She is a smooth guard with size who does it all on both ends.

She makes the west team as the 6th “man”. This is the best defensive guard in the state. I haven’t watched every player in the state but I can’t imagine one being better. If you need to disrupt the opposing guards, here you go. She gets after it for 32 minutes.
She can stretch the defense, take it to the post, and defend on all levels. Athlete who can run the floor.
