About Paityn
Expert Analysis
Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
You’re doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t watched a full game of Paityn. Outside of her skill set as a true two-way combo guard, her approach to the game is a rarity in this state right now. She plays every possession with 100% energy and shows the on-court maturity of a high-level college player. As far as her basketball skills, offensively, there aren’t many weaknesses. The handle is strong, the ability to score from all 3 levels plus the ISO ability is present, and her vision and playmaking are solid enough to get her 5+ assists on any given night. Defensively is where she truly moves the needle. No matter make or miss, she is waiting right under the rim for her assignment. An 84/94-foot pressure type of kid. She has the stamina to do it as well.

impressed in this third place matchup leading Freeport with 26 points. London showcased a strong handle with great court vision. Her shot led the way hitting a couple 3s against a tough Morton team. Her skill set will make d1 teams around the country very happy.

London is securing a spot for first team all-state is more than likely a shoe-in. This kid has been one of the best players in the state regardless of her class, position, and anything else that differentiates the players here. She is aggressive on both ends, can score from wherever, and has the ability to lock down the best player on the court. This will be her second year at Freeport, and it won’t be a shock if she has another individual exceptional year. (3A)

London has separated herself over the last couple of years, and even during last year’s season, she was easily one of the best players in the state. She is carrying a large load for her high school program, but if they can make a run in the playoffs, the stats that she’ll put up will be the needle mover to have her in those award conversations.

London has been a favorite amongst coaches, scouts, and other players, and it’s simply because she’s an all-around threat as a basketball player. On both ends of the court, this kid is a nightmare to deal with, and the fact that she’s gotten better each year shows how much work she’s putting in when the cameras are off. It wouldn’t surprise me if more offers follow by the end of the year.

London has secured some even more P4 offers this month, and there’s no slowing down in sight. She’s a top player in her class and a top player in this state, and everything she brings to the floor can’t be taught. She’s aggressive, has a high motor, and shows no quit on any possession.

Paityn was one of the most impressive players I saw at Lakepoint, regardless of class. Her handles were sharp with a really quick crossover that created space for her with that change of direction against any defender. She shot it well from deep with a quick release and even hit some really difficult shots from mid-range with her crafty game. Paityn moved well without the ball, made smart decisions with the ball, and has a high motor that will help her at the next level.

London swapped out two jerseys this year, and the first change of scenery has seemed to turn out just as we expected.. DOMINANT. This upcoming AAU season, London will be suiting up with Mac Irvin Fire, who have been known to match up against some of the toughest competition in the country. She is coming from a program that has shown they develop talent, and now this will be a test of Londons ability to compete against top tier competition. I have no doubt that she will be able to hold her own.

London hasn’t skipped a beat since suiting up in a new jersey this year. If you’ve been in the gym to watch London live, then you understand what she brings to a program, even before you look at the stat sheet. The one thing that will translate immediately to the next level is her defense, and you can tell she prides herself on that. She’s egoless, attentive, and is always ready.

Suiting up for a new program this year, you would think there would be an adjustment period—but nope. London has shown the same dominance she displayed during her freshman year. Paityn just has a different gear and feel for the game that can’t be rivaled by any prospect in this class.
