Abercrombie continued her hot play into the LBI Opening this past weekend. Quinasia was named Class 4A State Player of the Year this past season for the Lady Generals. She plays her best basketball in transition trying to get to the basket. Abercrombie won’t hesitate one second at all when it comes to jumping on the floor. She rarely to never leaves the floor for the SC Lady Sixers.
She is TOUGH as a truck at times with her play. She surely leaves it all out on the floor – with her constant HUSTLE, desire and a few bruises along the way today.
Abercrombie and the SC Lady Sixers will be playing this weekend in the Prep Girls Hoops Triumph Region Kickoff at the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg.
Games start at 7:00 P.M. on Friday and backup at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday morning.
Jones came up big for the Lowcountry Premier squad late in the game. She connected on some jumpers down the stretch to secure the victory. Morgan has nice elevation on her jump shot. She really needs to stay more engaged at focus at times on the floor because the talent is there for sure.
Morgan got eligible back in January 2023 at Northwood Academy after transferring over from Pinewood Prep.
Highlights
Thompson is as TOUGH as they come at times with her play on the floor. Makiah wants to and will score the ball when she wants to. She plays the game with some shake-bake at times but really looks to get to the rack. Thompson connected on a few floaters in the lane today.
Makiah will look to take over the leadership roles next season at Westwood HS since several seniors will be moving on.
Alexander is a left-handed rangy forward. Karis plays well around the basket and looks to stalk the baseline at times. She plays active in the passing lanes where she can pick up some deflections along the way. Karis plays best around the rim while remaining active at all times.
Kelly won’t overwhelm you with anyone she does on the floor. Nakiyah can play with her back to the basket and post up. She did connect from the elbow and moments later knockdown a three-pointer. Kelly shows to have good hands down on the block. How good could she be moving forward? Looking forward to see her progress down the road.
Gregory wants to play fast and get the ball up the floor. She has the ability to push the tempo and make defenders uncomfortable with her speed up the court. Kiki started her career over at Pendleton HS and made her way over to Westside HS this past season.
