Fairfax Stars Summer Spectacular standouts

She dominated her team's first game by doing everything. She was active defensively, getting steals and making life difficult on the ball for whoever she was guarding. She is a fantastic passer and seemed committed to getting to the rim. Damia had great energy and was a pest defensively all day. The skill that stood out to me the most was her ball handling and overall ability to run an offense. She knocked down open 3s and showed off her touch with floaters and other shots around the rim. She was also very active on the glass, which was a theme for the Fairfax 17u showcase team. Riley was solid for Virginia Academy her junior year, but I'm curious to see how much more her offensive role will expand her senior year. She was impressive this weekend, initiating all her team's offense and knocking down shots. She is an excellent ball handler, and she creates a lot of good looks for her. Her rebounding and defensive presence were both spectacular. She blocked shots and was very disciplined in doing it.
