With so much action going on across the country this past weekend as it pertains to girls AAU ball, there are several story lines that need to be covered. For example: This past weekend the state of Nebraska, as a whole, did a ton of winning against national competition, out there on the road. Below I am going to highlight some of these programs, along with some of their top teams and players of the weekend. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy.

ETG Midwest (3SSB)

ETG Midwest is a program that I have watched closely this last half of the AAU season and they do it right. Every program out there will promise you exposure and the absolute best for your child, not all programs follow through with that, ETG Midwest does. This program had three teams competing this weekend in the Adidas 3SSB Championships. Each individual team had a good showing with the 15U group advancing the furthest amongst everyone, to finish third overall in their age bracket. Their specific team was led by their usual suspects in Alexis Hecht, [player_tooltip player_id='747245' first='Addison' last='Medeck'], [player_tooltip player_id='753080' first='Mollie' last='Probasco'], [player_tooltip player_id='757579' first='Emme' last='Timm'], & [player_tooltip player_id='747250' first='Maddie' last='Vickery']. This program will be producing some high level college recruits over the next few seasons, make sure to keep an eye out for them playing in your area in the future, they are sure to impress.

[program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] (UAA)

The [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] program had their teams in full force these past few days out at the Under Armor Next Girls Hoops Finals, along with a few other events depending on the age group. Each team had their ups and downs this weekend with their program being highlighted by their 17U UAA squad, that made it a good distance when it came to bracket play and a chance at the championship. Some other teams in this program that went undefeated or close to it as well this weekend were their 7th UAA, 8th UAA, 15 UA Rise, 17U Black, & 17U Rise. This program is a household name throughout the state for what they do for their players, trying to get them to the next level. They put together a great overall AAU season and will keep up the steady work moving forward.

Omaha Supreme

When you mention programs that have a lot of individual pieces that could play at the next level in some facet, you need to mention Omaha Supreme AAU. Supreme is a program that has a couple of elite playmakers at each level. Playmakers like [player_tooltip player_id='766877' first='Kate' last='Stevens'], Emma Vander Plaats, [player_tooltip player_id='757576' first='Stella' last='Williams'], Macy Kellner, Lynnae Green, MacKenna Bush and many more throughout their age groups. These past few days this program put together a winning weekend in total and ended their season off on the right note. Going into fall each player can use this break and really work at becoming the best version of themselves on the floor, before the high school season kicks off and they show their perceptive communities what they can really do.

NE Lasers Basketball

The [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] AAU program had a small variety of teams out competing at the Summer Finale over these past few days. These teams played as one and put on display what it really means to be a team, when things become the hardest. They shared the ball consistently, preached fundamentals to be used during each and every play, did the little things every time, and never gave up when things got hard. Some teams and programs out there that I have seen this season could take some note from this program on what it means to conduct yourself as a team and successful program. The Lasers put together a great year from top to bottom, throughout all age levels. Something they should be proud of.

[program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] (Select 40)

[program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] had a big time showing these past few days at the Select 40 Championships. They had several players make the "outstanding performers" list from the media that was in attendance, all while making it pretty far in bracket play when it comes to each individual teams effort. I had the chance of watching this [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] program play earlier on this season live in Council Bluffs and they did not disappoint. Their teams are all equipped with talent from the 14U-17U levels, holding their own against players their age or older out there. This program is going to graduate several special hoopers over the next year or so, all they have to do is keep working and it'll all pay off.
