Making any of the AAU Post Season Award-All State teams is something you should be proud of. With having a vast amount of skilled players out of this state, throughout all age levels, to be named as basically 1 of the Top 25 for an age group, for an entire AAU season speaks volumes. It shows to everyone watching out there that no matter the stage, competition level, or situation in front of the player – They WILL succeed. Below is the list of players selected to the 16U All State-Third Team, for the spring/summer AAU season, out of the state of Iowa. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["342185"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"A player that had a fantastic spring/summer AAU season for her [program_tooltip program_id='713918' first='Waukee' last='Jam'] team at the guard position was [player_tooltip player_id='342185' first='Devon' last='Carlile']. Throughout the entire season, Carlile moved between the 1 and 2 spot on the floor, displaying the ability to bring up the ball or play the shooting guard position. When she has the ball in her hands she is a constant and effective distributor to those around her. She attacks her opponents hips, makes others commit to her on the drive, and gives a nice pass to the open teammates around her. When she moves to the 2 spot, she has the ability to get hot from deep. She knows to be ready at all times on the perimeter and that she could get a pass for a jumper at any moment. Carlile just transfer to DCG high school for her 2 remaining high school years. Joining a program that is coming off of a state championship can sometimes be tough but I think she will fit in just fine. If she plays with confidence, she is going to shine this winter for the Mustangs. She certainly did that this spring/summer. Mann has the choice right now to move between the 1 or the 2 spot, depending on what her team is asking of her. She has a solid handle when being pressured, while understanding her teams playbook and their sets. Defensively, she is an athlete with quick feet. She communicates well with the teammates around her and shows smarts each time she is out on the floor. Moving forward I'm looking for Mann to have another nice high school season this winter. If she keeps on working hard, it's going to pay off in the end with a chance at college ball. ","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["311361"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='311361' first='Finley' last='Blackmore'] is getting some love from the college level right now. Blackmore is an offensive juggernaut. An athlete who can score in a plethora of ways and in a hurry. This was on full display this AAU season for her Pure Prep 16U E40 team. When their teams 1-2 duo of [player_tooltip player_id='311353' first='Tillie' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='419308' first='Morgan' last='Mann'] created for their shooters, they were ready, Blackmore being included in that group. Other than that, Blackmore also did a great job of being an even level scorer. Which means that she scored not only from three point land or at the rim, but all three levels on the floor at a consistent rate. Over these next few months I expect Blackmore to bring in some more offers before the high school season kicks off. She is the type of player, that if she works on the correct things in her offseason, she could be a major contributor once again this winter. ","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["311369"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"I wrote an article earlier this season on some Summertime Stock-Risers and if I'm not mistaking, Dillinger was a headline player featured in that article. Dillinger had a spring/summer to remember. I think this was a season where she figured out that with confidence, anything is possible. Dillinger can let it fly. Her catch and shooting ability is college level. On each shot attempt she displays balance, great footwork, consistent form, and a perfect follow through. During this AAU season, if anyone had a hand-down when she would catch, Dillinger would make them pay. She has the nickname of being a sniper and it suits her well. When it comes to the other side of the ball she shows promise. She sticks with her opponents consistently, rebounds well VS others, see's tendencies early on in the game, and communicates throughout everything. This winter North Polk is going to have a TEAM. A group of players that can score in bunches, in every-and-anyway. We will just have to wait and see who can step up to stop them. ","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["311367"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"One of the most promising forwards competing in high school basketball over the past few years is [player_tooltip player_id='311367' first='Jayden' last='Kuper']. Kuper is an athletic and physical player, that moves really well around the basket. She uses her size to bury her opponents early in possessions, while also being agile enough to hit a bigger post-player with a nice skill move or two, ending in an efficient finish at the rim a majority of the time for herself. This AAU season, on a [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] 2025 BlueStar team that is oozing with talent, Kuper showed yet again that she was one of their top players. Her mixture of size, skill, and smarts was impressive and I can't wait to see more of it this winter when Kuper competes with her Monticello high school team. ","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["582828"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='582828' first='Dasia' last='Foster'] is a player that most people know in this game because of her size but they really don't understand what, u0022her gameu0022, actually is. Foster is slowly but surly gaining coordination and touch in the post as she grows up. Her size at 6'3 has always stood out but the skill side of things has been a little bit more of a challenge. Well this AAU season, that was different. I saw a player in Foster, who caught in the post and kept the ball high, she finished through double/triple teams at times, and she worked really hard on each possession to beat her opponent down the floor. If Foster progresses at the same rate moving forward, that she did this spring, she is going to put together quite the high school year at Oskaloosa this winter. As for right now though, she was definitely a player that stood out for her work in the post this AAU season.
