Players that have the versitly to play on the outside but if needed could play the 5 spot. As mentioned in Part 1 these are just notes of the players I was able to see. If I missed you please tag me in your highlights as my goal is to leave no one unseen. @coachjvick1
Tinley Winters Tinley Winters 5’10” | PF Purcell | 2025 State OK has great size and mobility which allows her to play on the perimeter as well as inside. Listed at 5’10 she is quick enough to guard the outside but strong enough to defend the post position is needed. Strong dribble in the open floor with good vision. Solid footwork in the post area when playing down low. Understands the game of spacing as she moves well without the ball. Should have a breakout season this year for the Lady Dragons
Highlights
Karlee Harviston Karlee Harviston 5’9″ | SF Dover | 2024 State OK plays longer than 5’9 which is what she is listed at. Player that can play multiple positions on the floor . Great footwork on defense allowed her to be long on the ball making it hard to pass around. Understanding of help defense allowed her to help several times on drives. Seemed to always be around the basket collecting offense and defense rebounds. Great variation of scoring from either outside, mid range or in the paint area. Runs the floor in transition while does a great job moving without the ball. Nice player that can play all 5 spots allowing her to fit into most offenses
Lainey Portman Lainey Portman 5’10” | SG Heritage Hall | 2024 State OK plays every position on the floor She attacked the rim multiple times using a big variety of moves to finish. Runs the floors great on both ends of the court. Shot from the outside as well as a nice mid range jump shot. Aggressive scorer off the dribble with either a nice step back or just getting to rim Handles the ball in transition with her eyes always up the floor looking to read the defense. Lainey versatility should make her a tough match for opposing teams
Highlights
Alysa Mack Alysa Mack 5’11” | PF Macarthur | 2025 State OK is listed at 5’10 but when you watch her play you would swear she is taller. Her long long arms and quick feet makes her a force of defense. Alys is either going to block your shot or change it. Moves off the ball catching the defense off guard for easy cuts to the basket. Very nice turnaround jump shot on the low blocks using her jumping ability to get shot off Alysa scoring ability was very smooth as if she knew what move she was going to do. The best way I can put it
Highlights
Jaelyn Carrington Jaelyn Carrington 6’0″ | PF Moore | 2026 State OK is a strong post that has nice nice footwork in the low post. Good hands and positions herself in a scoring situation before she catches the ball Showed good drop step move to either baseline or middle. The post moves were smooth even with defense banging on her. Jaelyn went 100% on every play. The tougher the competition the more she elevated her game. Jaelyn is going to have a breakout year this season
