After Lawton Mac’s slow start, it was the versatile forward prospect who was crucial in them rallying and eventually closing out the contest. Continues to mix her great feel as a 15 foot and in player, with good quickness for her size. Pops to open spots around the rim and in the mid-range. Good touch around the rim, with soft hands and touch as a finisher. Earned trips to the line throughout the contest. Steady player, who simply produces in every viewing.

One of the tougher match up problems in 5A, Mack is too quick for many opposing forwards. While also too strong for many perimeter players who try to match up with her. If she catches the ball on the elbow, look out as she can either power her way to the hoop. Or drain a pull up jumper when the defense sags off. Her strength will allow her to be a super productive player around the rim this winter. While she has the quickness and upside to grow into more a perimeter threat at the next level.

An unique prospect, Mack is perfect for a list like this. She’s strong, physical and quick for her frame around the rim. But it wasn’t just bully ball battling at the basketball that allowed her to fill it up. She was also lights out in the mid-range with a very good face up game and pull up jumper. Along with the traditional off the dribble pull ups, she also hit spin moves and one handed runners with regularity. Mack’s scoring variety with her natural gifts makes her an incredibly tough player to stop.

Alysa size and mobility allows her play either power forward or small forward. I have covered Alysa several times this summer and each time I walked away going wow! The skill set she brings each time means hours in the gym are being put in. Definitely a player that will gain offers during the season. Expect Lawton Mac to be in the mix come playoffs

I was telling a college coach in attendance on Sunday that there is something in the water down in Lawton that makes the players at MacArthur and Eisenhower just a different kind of tough. Maybe it’s just Lawton being an Army town? Whatever the reason is, I’ve gotta get down there for Mac and Ike this season! Alysa is a strong defender who is built to take the punishment down in the paint. She is a dawg in the best possible way. She racked up the boards, putbacks, steals, and blocks. She knows her role and does it tremendously. Mack also showed the ability to step out and hit from midrange which is going to be tremendously important at the college level. She has the speed and agility to transition between the three and four and the college coach who knows how to utilize her diverse skill set is going to be very happy they have her.

is listed at 5’10 but when you watch her play you would swear she is taller. Her long long arms and quick feet makes her a force of defense. Alys is either going to block your shot or change it. Moves off the ball catching the defense off guard for easy cuts to the basket. Very nice turnaround jump shot on the low blocks using her jumping ability to get shot off Alysa scoring ability was very smooth as if she knew what move she was going to do. The best way I can put it

Often called upon to play inside against the opposing team’s bigs, Alysa more than holds her own. She battles hard defensively and racks up the blocks with her long arms and tremendous athleticism. On the offensive end, she is great at finding soft spots in the zone out near the free throw line and is money with her midrange jumper. Alysa also does a great job of sensing the double team and hitting the open teammate. She has a plethora of skills and really looks to be a big time prospect. Her video is definitely very fun to watch!
