Rori HarmonIn the usual mode of my “keeping it real” without seeing any of the other back-courts in the country, I know for a fact that Rori Harmon and Kyndall Hunter, two of my top ranked players in the Texas 2021 class as well as highly ranked by every credible national scouting service and even more importantly, two young ladies I called #BCSLocks before they played in their first middle school game, I’m that good but they’re better. Hunter wasn’t on hand for the event which only makes this squad even scarier because one thing I definitely saw was progression from every position as well as strengthening of the bench
I used to say “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, you better be ready when you’re guarding Rori” okay, I never said that until now but I had to throw something clever in the story to keep some focused but I’ll break her and Kyndall’s game down a little later but let me give a special S/O out to Taylor Jackson whose toned up and tuned in to elevate her game. She will be added to that Texas Top 100 2021 group as she’s over “the magic number” that’s 6’0 and two things, her ability to finish and rebound have gotten stronger as she adds power to the equation
Trinity SantasieroMorgan Hill is definitely going to be “JEFFERSONIZED” and if you’ve never seen the TV show that they redid in anot funnier way, ain’t nothing comical about what Hill is becoming and when you’re athletic and over 6’0, long, runs the floor after rebounding and finishing on the other end not to mention excellent timing on defense to alter or block shots, that’s a Fantastic Four of D1 locks and you can archive what I say because it will come true
Gracie SantasieroTrinity Santasiero keeps showing me signs that she wants “it” and she fills in so many missing pieces to Cy Creek’s puzzle, plus she is a zone buster, but there are many others that just understand their roles. Ally Haman, Marcayla Wortham and NeAsia Favorite were more than just pleasant surprises but one of the biggest surprises was Gracie Santasiero, Trinity’s younger sister, whose growth spurt had me clueless on who she was but thanks to their mom, I got it but even more importantly, Gracie has seemed to get “it” already as she was poised and effective.
This squad lost in the state championship game when Hunter and Harmon were freshmen and were one game from returning to state last season as they lost to Summer Creek in the regional final game, Summer Creek was at the TSU Team Camp, I’ll do a breakdown on them because they’re in the mix as well to represent the region
I’ll get even more looks at Cy Creek in other settings including some of the top tournaments in the state as well as their always competitive district games and maybe some fall league stuff, who knows because again, several teams are capable of making it to state, I’ll focus on that and keep you in the loop and I watch them hoops
