2024 Rankings: Stockrisers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've gotta be honest here. I didn't do the previous rankings. I was off getting my education and one of our previous scouts was nice enough to fill in for me. Our system doesn't allow me to see where that previous scout had players ranked. So, I'm using my previous rankings from 2021, when these players were sophomores to gauge how much things have changed. Obviously, things have changed drastically for just about everyone. I'm going almost off of memory here, but these are the players that I feel have made a big jump since the rankings previous to the previous rankings. In the last rankings I did she was at 35 and now, heading into her senior year she is committed to Southern Nazarene and sits all the way at No. 16. Oh, she also has two state championships and two state championship MVPs. Oh, she also signed an NIL deal with Oklahoma City based shoe brand Tyaga. The point is, Braci is a star who can do it all on the floor and has earned everything she has with a lot of hardwork. She plays a gritty style of basketball where she is completely unafraid to attack the rim. She picks up a lot of and-1's with defenders often hitting her from behind as she finishes the shot because they are trying to catch up. She is explosive is what I'm saying. On the defensive end, Allison brings the same intensity and toughness and is far from a liability. Apparently, she is the same way in the classroom, with a 4.0 GPA. She used her size well and showed good footwork. She swatted a lot of shots and just generally played a really tough post game at a young age. Flash forward a few years and Taryn's handles have improved to the point that she looks like a guard running the floor with the ball. She consistently drains the three with one of the prettiest jumpshots in the 2024 group. She has several D-II offers and probably deserves even more. The No. 9-ranked PG in the class is an absolute floor general and I know that there are coaches out there with interest. She has fully recovered from an ACL a few years back and her stock has risen back to the level it should be. She is a high-IQ player with the added bonus of being able to fill it up from long range. You'll get that feeling back. Montay just plays basketball. She is naturally athletic. She goes out and just lets it all go. She can be a little flashy with it, but not to the point of being disrespectful. She might let the hand hang when she drains the three. She might exaggerate the head turn when she makes one of her rocket passes, almost like a no-look down into the post. It's fine. It's basketball. And it's beautiful. And she needs to be doing it in college next year. You're gonna want her on your team. The two-time state champion has already committed to Friends University and will be an awesome addition to Head Coach Dean Jaderston's NAIA squad. She is a winner and she brings a winning mentality and toughness, despite her stature, to Wichita with her. KK is an incredible defender that wears down opponents. She is also an intelligent player who makes the right basketball decisions with and without the ball in her hands.
