Headed to Friends University in the fall, Peeler helped take Edmond North to the state finals this season after an undefeated championship run last year.

The other component to Edmond North’s hot start was their quick floor general.  She’s a pest on the defensive end, with quickness and reading of the game honed by being in the Edmond North program for years.  Along with the energy and boost she provides as a disruptive defender, she’s a consistent table setter for her teammates.  Finding open shooters, cutters and more as a half court and tranisiton distributor.

The final of the six players in this “stockrisers” piece, and most definitely not least, is also the only other committed player. The two-time state champion has already committed to Friends University and will be an awesome addition to Head Coach Dean Jaderston’s NAIA squad. She is a winner and she brings a winning mentality and toughness, despite her stature, to Wichita with her. KK is an incredible defender that wears down opponents. She is also an intelligent player who makes the right basketball decisions with and without the ball in her hands. The Falcons are getting a very good player.

KK great handles and confidence while going through the ball handling stations.  Demonstrated great footwork in all shooting drills.  Definitely a point guard as she controlled the tempo in the 5 on 5 play.  High basketball IQ at the point guard, made great decisions also.    Look for her to have a great summer.

KK Peeler: has stepped up and has done a good job in her role as the lead guard for the Huskies. She handles the ball well even under pressure, she is poise and takes care of the ball. She brings good effort on defense and will surprise you and hit a big 3-pointer in crunch time. Though she does a good job playing her role, I would like to see her be a little more aggressive on the offensive end. I have seen her hit big shots in games and that might be a difference maker for the Huskies when it’s time to defend their title in the playoffs.
